So True, Fortunate and Well-fed Sir:

this below post was roundly ignored for the few members who actually will spend time at Care2, give it to other causes for animals or other national or world issues more important than daily starving children and other people, rather than trying to verbalize the rationality of inviting contacts to work in world hunger fighting (even it only from daily clicking) and inviting all their contacts over time.

This personage "We Are The World" has shrunk but remains available as a role, for the right and caring person to assume the role of trying to use numbers and not just words to contribute to the end (or at least a tremendous reduction) of all the World Hunger.

But no one cares more than a moment and the World Hunger gets worse.

WHO WANTS TO SPEND 10, 30, 60 or so MINUTES A DAY DOING THIS FIGHT, trying to explain the strength in great numbers and the weakness in isolation.

which are in keeping with your Bahá'í faith.  Works of charity are difficult to fit in to most busy lives in a modern society.  You are to be complimented for caring to do them.

The Bahá'ís are not known for strong forceful proselytizing of their faith, and in fact in many cultures agree not only to refrain from political involvement but from any attempts at proselytizing.  This must particularly be true in the country of their international headquarters at the Bahá'ís World Centre which includes the faith's Universal House of Justice. 

Few here know that it is the Bahá'ís who have suffered religious persecution in the last decades since the Holocaust to a greater extent than any faith.  Few here would guess what country has granted them shelter from such ruthless persecution, but in the theme of this paragraph it should be transparent where shelter was found.

Would it be wrong for you a to go and ask others human to human to care just a little bit if not as much as you do, just a little bit,...

to ask them, irrespective of religious philosophy, to care about the malnourished, to click on the good days, to give on the better days, and to increase the strength of the fight to one more seeking to fight and to increase the strenghth of the fight to two, and each of you to seek out one more and to increase the strength of the fight to four, and each of you to seek out one more and to increase the strength of the fight to eight,..., and if done daily in a long month then on the last day,  each of you to seek out one more and to increase the strength of the fight to (theoretically only) over one billion people caring to do little things or like you many many things for the needy.

Why should we, and do most all here who care enough to post,  resist the power of numbers in attacking a numerically stupendous problem?

Yes thank you for caring about the hungry.  Yes thank you for any click any time, even for the petitions; yes we know you care about the animals too, but do what is truly the minimum for humans first; invite strangers to join you at any of these hunger sites here, and invite them to first invite all their friends and then to likewise inviting strangers.  THAT WE CAUSE THE geometric growth in fighting the problem which grows at geometric proportions.

Must we be blind to the potential of what this internet offers!

Must we only do an activity which has no large growth potential!

WHY IS IT UNLAWFUL for you who care to talk to strangers about the need for all to care.

I REALLY DO NOT THINK THAT YOU ALL HAVE THOUGHT THIS THROUGH.

You 1000 alone will not get the job done if you refuse to expand the caring aware to many powers of those who would do something if they saw the big picture, even if that is only 20 of the 1000 here.

This is taken from a recent posting at the thread with link shown at bottom. It seems applicable, it is applicable, it must be addressed by all who make priorities of animals and do little thoughtful for malnourished children but a click here or there, day in day out, if that, when so much more can so readily, easily and without much time consumed, be accomplished to enlarge the current response with not one more cent spent by those who say they care!

There is a need for much, but malnourished children cannot wait until every "dancing bear" type animal is protected.  Time to protect one bear or a small group of them, but no stomach to stand up for those humans with empty stomachs.

It is embarassing to view the tenor, content and lack of human concern for humans in the mass amount of mail sent from the Care2 members:

It is a month and several weeks more and nothing has changed.  The answers to the questions seem ominous.

Those who have the time care little about hunger and more about do-gooding on a myriad of less important matters which is wonderful when you have a normal meal once or twice or three times a day, but which is impossible when you have no normal meal ever, much less eat a full meal of a European or an American of the United States!

No volunteers, no changes, all that could be done is overlooked.

So sad, so bad, so much, so wasted.

The sole reason for the group I own and host is to try to be different in the fight against hunger:

(1) Expose all at Care2 then many outsiders to the need to think Hunger each evening and to have others awakened to this primary charitable goal for all worthy humans of ending the pervasive hunger existing in pockets or throughout almost every cournty;

(2)  Growing into the 800,000 ton gorilla with an organization that can actually reach its members (requiring Care2 email addresses from all members);

(3) Keeping all new members aware that the larger it grows the more it can do by showing its "muscles";

I am seeking the most inspired Care2 member interested in fighting hunger I can find to take over the ownership of the group and Snowball (exponentiate) its 1000 members into 10,000 and then into 100,000 and then in 1,000,000 all clicking as much as their hearts allow and all spreading the word, to a point of obsessiveness but done with rapier skill.

The only cost will be words to convince me you are the one.  Nothing more.  I hope to complete the process within one week.

Click on my symbol (it is Samuel Adams's visage, a revolutionary of unquestioned power and commitment) and go see the group I host to see if you have weekly time to give to the only concept left untried.

I belong to NA&AA, my friends there and I got together and did a car wash to raise money for the food pantry in our area. We also did a food drive and clothing drive. We made up a list of pantry's, shelters, & daily labor offices in the area and passed them out to the homeless that we could find! All in all, it was a pretty lucrative week-end!!
