Being Positive December 30, 2008 1:39 AM

Hello everyone,

My thoughts are my actions so being positive is my motto.

Even though at the age of 15 thru 17 I was being molested by my step father I have came out of it all at 38 thinking positive and not letting it get me down. Yes it has taken 3 years in therapy to help me understand it but also know that I trusted a man that was the only one who would listen to me at the time my parents were divorced and did not communicate with my siblings and I. My step dad eventually took advantage of my vulnerablity and made me feel like a person and bought me nice gifts and just listened then came the other stuff.

But I just wanted to say that we are in control of our own destiny and we can look at only the negative or we can find something positive out of every situation.

I did and I have been a better mother and wife to my family because of it.  I choose to win.

Please lets discuss more about how we can overcome the negativity and be more positive.

Just an FYI I am a psychology major but I promise I wont say how do you feel about that because I even hate that.

What have you learned?
