I'm Toto.  I am the king of the house.  I'm eight years old and I was born early on the morning of Halloween.  I was the whole litter myself!  My mom was Angel, a black pekingese, and my father was Micki, a poodle who looked just like me!

I'm Domino.  I'm kind of new to the house.  I'm still just a puppy.  I like this all natural stuff.  I even like grapefruits!  They say I have to quit eating the furniture, though.  Please help me keep all of this straight.

I'm Mary Jane.  I'm sweet, beautiful, and very smart.  I'm much smarter than all of these dogs.  I'm smarter than my sister, too!

I'm Mowie, and she is NOT smarter OR prettier, and she's really not all that sweet!  Hmph!  And besides, I like the dogs.  I think they're more fun than cats! As for all this natural health stuff, I think it's cool.  I love to go running outside every chance that I get to eat greens!

We're getting so many nice friends here! Not baaaaaad!!!

I got a new kitty last night.  Her name is Emmy.  I don't have a picture of her I can show you...I've barely seen her myself!

I have two other cats.  I introduced them above. Mowie and Mary Jane.  They're sisters, and they should be ashamed of the most inhospital way that they are treating their brand new friend!

Emmy is a fluffy gray and black striped tiger cat.  She is about three years old.  Her previous owner just entered a hospice, and his social worker brought Emmy to me.  She knew that I'd give her love!

Well, she ran into the basement first thing right away, and she hasn't been out ever since except when I went down and got her, but then she went back down right away. 

I got to hold her for a minute, though...Enough for a proper introduction between us, and to tell her she's welcome and loved.  I showed her where the food was at, and that's when the other two told her to scram.  I felt so sorry for her.

But I figure within a day or two she'll start coming around.   She knows where the food is, and she knows there's a person who cares.  I'll go get her again in awhile, just to make sure that she knows, but then I'll leave her alone, until she feels safe and secure.

Poor thing.  She still has the dogs to meet then!  Hahaha!  I'm sure that eventually they will all get along fine!

Well, I got Emmy up out of the basement after four days of hiding.  We could not find her down there anywhere, and she was not making a sound!  Do you know where she was hiding?  INSIDE the back of the washing machine!  OMG!  Thanks goodness I never do laundry!  (I'm about ten baskets behind!  Hahaha!)

So now she is out of the basement and hiding under a bed.  She is coming out a little bit more now and then, though, and she is VERY nice!  She is an extremely sweet cat!

But ohhhhhhh....MOWIE HATES HER!  Mary Jane is warming up...a little...not much....but Mowie said she hates her guts!

And Domino just wants to play!  (With her head in his mouth!  Hahaha!  Gently and livingly, of course!)

Mowie taught him this game.  It's called Spin the Kitty, and she begs him to play all the time!  He spins her around and then stops her by gently putting hier head in his mouth.  Then he lets go and spins her again...Mowie thinks its great fun!  I don't think it Emmy thinks it looks like much fun, and Mary think's Mowie's insane!

I hope Emmy comes out from under that bed pretty soon.  I told Domino to leave her alone.  He's just a puppy and he's really nice, but I don't think she's used to him yet.

I'll let you know how it goes, and one of these days I'll get her in front of the cam so I can show a picture to you!

  My name is Jordi and I claim to be a Main Coon.  My human is an "ole Lady" who has not mastered the art of putting pictures in here but has me in her care2 album. 

Also I have a request, being a small creature I have trouble reading the small print and hope that all you friends of mine will use the larger font to post, you see I ask my human and that is how she said I should ask it.  My human is 65, in a wheelchair which I lay claim to everytime she transfers to another chair forcing her to either wait my nap out or crawl everywhere, she "never distrubs this sleeping 20 pound "little tiger"!

This is my Pretty Girl in her better days. She is now getting up there in age and is losing weight but we are caring for her until she tells us it is time. She took care of my old guy, Mikey, when he was getting old and now the dogs are caring for her and making her feel loved. Either that or they want her room I am not sure.
 I thank yo for the invite to the group and as soon as time permits, I will post pics of my 19 dogs that take this house and give love.

My sweet guy, I found him outside an ACME market in Philadelphia, licking the remains of a tastycake wrapper...I ran inside and bought a can of food for him, and scooped him up and took him home.  He was dumped by a family (I assume because he had a girl's jelly bracelet around his neck); he urgently needed surgery to repair a hernia. That's my "proud to be me" story.  Pan's happy to be alive...

My mommy took me in from my previous owners because they were moving and unable to take cats with them I am living a happy life with my mommmy Barb. The only thing I don't like though is that my mommy rescues cats and I have to share my home with them

Hi, I'm Rascal. I am a 13-yr-old Lhaso Apso. My Mom, Kim, had just given me a "trim" and a bath. I really don't like those but anything to keep my Moma happy. I love her so much that I follow her everywhere even if it means going by those 2 horrible cats she insists on keeping. I am very lovable. My Mom says I'm a love hound. I like to sleep alot. I will eat almost anything but I do not care for bananas or grapes at all. My Mom makes my food although I have to share it with those cats. I have cataracts. The food she is preparing has been helping get rid of those.

I hope you enjoy this group, I know my Mom does. By the way, I am really enjoying the Reiki my Mom is giving me. I just wish she would give me more.

We lost out kitty Jager this summer due to blood clots in both hind legs. He was 8 and weighed 26 pounds. He was healthy though and the weight did not cause the clots. We miss him.

The picture of Timber our three year old swissy and our new humane society kitten Tanner was taken just a few days ago.  I love how Tanner just bosses these huge dogs around.  Often you find him sleeping in the middle of the dogs beds with one of the dogs laying right next to it.  If the dog is already on the bed then Tanner will just snuggle right next to them. 

Hope is our 8 year old swissy, she just came to live with us at the end of the summer and has never been around cat's so I love how her and Tanner sleep together.  Hope is so sweet, when she does something bad and you scold her she pulls her lips back and smiles at you.  I had the flu one time and she stayed in the bedroom all day with me and everytime I looked at her she smiled at me to make me happy.  She is so sweet, I am in love with her even though we just got her. 

There are 5 frogs and 5 fish not pictured, I am a bad non mammal mom.  Not really bad, they just don't photograph well.  I actually spoil them as well as the warm blooded family members.  I even give the fish blood worms which makes me gag but they love them.  Our female Betta named Cloudy loves me, she chases my finger around and nips at me.  Oh maybe she hates me and wants to do physical harm to me.

I'm Gizmo, I live with 3 other cats here. My owners are great! They feed me, pet me when I say, the only problem is that they won't let me in the room the has the birds and hampster in it!

I'm Fluffy, I also live here, and I'm a cat. I don't see what the other cat's obcession with getting the birds is. I'm fine with the food they give me.

I'm Sunny, and Fluffy needs to learn that cats chase birds, because it is fun, but of course, we aren't allowed to. I love the catnip, Thanks humans for rescuing me.

I'm Orange Spot, and I found this great family. They took me in when I came to their house as a stray. I'm grateful and respect the no birds rule, besides I like the toy balls!

Other Animals

Hi! We are Coco and Snidget! Our owner feeds us, gives us treats, and protects us from the awful kitty cats. She even lets us listen her music, some human music is so pretty, you'd think it was a bird singing!

The chicken flock is very large, at 34 members, but here are a few prominent members. Lightning is the disabled rooster, Thunder is his companion. Dutchess is the picky Serama hen and Prince is her mate. Kiko and Izzy are Japanese Bantams won purple ribbons at the fair and are going to become mates. Blackberry is a sweet little hen who likes people. Anya is a very pretty mix breed hen. Peaches is an old hen who likes people to give her treats, but not pick her up. Cream is her sister. Apricot is the oldest chicken and is the dominate hen.

There are also fish here, and my sisters hampster. Plus two frogs.

OK, I guess it is time for us to introduce ourselves.  We were waiting for our Mommy to put up our pictures but she is taking wayyy to long.

I am my people's most special pet, my name is Kody and I am a Rottweiler.  I love everyone and I'm more friendly than my Mom and Dad, but sometimes they get really mad because some people are mean to me.  My mommy told me that some people are predjudice and that we should stay away from people like that.  My Mom and Dad each had a Rottie before and they died from Cancer and now they feed me special food all the time.  They call it organic but I just call it good!  We recently moved to an ugly basement and I don't know why but Mommy and I haven't had our special couch time but she told me that we will just have to make time.

My people got me a kitten when I was a puppy, he is a siamese named Sebastian and we used to be really close but then they had to rescue another cat and her name is Maddie and now my two cats are really close but Sebastian still grooms me sometimes and I groom him too!

When my Dad's parents moved away my people brought home a Cockatoo that never bites and sometimes they make her ride on my back.  I am always afraid she will scratch me but she is gentle, but she scares me when she flies away!

My Mommy also got an iguana named Tristan.  He was a baby but now he is getting bigger and they thought he was a boy but it turns out she is a girl!  They also rescued a large iguana named Meesha and she was missing half her tail.  It is growing back now but it is still pretty stumpy.  I would never hurt the lizards but one time Tristan tried to jump really high over me and I tried to catch him and my Mom and Dad yelled at me really loud!

When I got here there was already a bunny named Caleb but they call him bun and two guinea pigs.  The older one is named Alexis and she wanted a baby so they got her Elizabeth.  I like when they climb on me and play with me but right now they are stuck in cages and they can't get out!

My Mommy also has 5 wild mice that were in our house and a tankful of guppies, two tetras and a pleco.

Oh and their's Bruiser.  My Mom and Dad rescued him from getting shot but he bugs me alot sometimes, but sometimes I like to play with him.  He gets into a lot of trouble and he doesn't listen to the training so he gets stuck in a cage sometimes!  They must like him though because he goes to a chiropractor- I guess that means someone who gives out treats, they gave me some too!

Well, that is all of us for now.  I heard my Mom talking that when we get a house she might get two horses and some chickens and a goat!

and I'm a thirteen + year old Begian shepherd.

That's me in the photo below with my human, Roger, and my buddy, Mako, who is a six year old pit bull.   He's a sweetie but not too smart.  I was describing Mako, but it works for Roger, too.  I take care of them both.

There are four other dogs in our family and I'll post pictures eventually, or persuade Roger to do so.  It's tough for me because the keys are so small.  Not paw size at all.  The other dogs are Achilles, Russett, Athena, and Buffy.  We have two huge pens, each about 1/3 acre, but we spend a lot of time inside as well.  I like to go out at night and howl whenever I hear a siren or a train whistle, long before Roger can hear them!  We have a bird feeder and the birds don't mind me a bit.  I'm interested in discovereing how human mechanisms can be utilized and controlled by us dogs - particularly latches, gates, door, etc.   I've discovered that if you bend things back and forth many times, they break.  Not to brag, but I'm the foremost canine expert in metal fatigue, to the best of my knowledge.

Roger bailed me out of a pound in California when I was five years old.  I had been there for a few months and had almost given up on getting out of stir.  I had a litter of puppies before they locked me up, but I've got a color combination that AKC cerified belgians aren't supposed to have, so I think my previous humans decided not to keep me.  I hope my kids are OK.  I think about them.  When Roger and I first started hanging out together, I wouldn't come when called because my previous humans got annoyed if I didn't come right away and sometimes punished me after I did come!  They didn't understand dogs.  Roger tricked me a couple times by making puppy calls (he'll never do it again!) and I came running.  I wanted to see my puppies, but at least he praised and petted me and I decided I'd come when he  called if I wasn't busy with something else that was more important.  I hope my puppies all found good homes even if there fur wasn't the right color everywhere.  I'm getting just a little lame and I don't run full out anymore, but I trot around my pen and go for a long walk with Mako and Roger evey day.   Roger is pretty slow, but I love him anyway, and he loves me and all the other dogs.

Roger wants to switch us to a vegan or vegetarian diet.  I'm skeptical, but I do like sweet potatoes.

Hello, my name is Samson but, you can call me Sam. My birthday is 10/14/04. I came to live with my new mommy nine months ago and she says I have brightened up her life greatly. I'm her very first doggie ever and I will tell you, she's a great mommy.We are so happy that we are together. I follow her everywhere. She gives me so much love that some people think I'm spoiled. The truth is, you can not receive too much love. Love is what heals us all. I love my mommy soooo much. woof woof.

Nobody's been writing here!  I want to meet everyone's pets!!!

Things have changed at my house a bit since I last wrote on this thread.  I don't have pictures right now, but I'll just tell you about who is here now...

Mowie's still here...my daughter's kitty...and Mowie is currently pregnant by Charlie...he's my daughter's NEW kitty...HA!  Charlie's real cool, we love him a lot...and although the pregnancy was unplanned, the babies have a home here with us.  However.......We're working on getting scheduled in somewhere to get Charlie "fixed" before the babies are born.  (The low-cost spay neuter programs aren't always as easy to get into as people might think...The doctors keep backing out, and the hours are HORRID for someone who does not have a car.  It's hard to get rides to the next town at 6 a.m.  Transportation programs are badly needed. If people need help paying to have their pet altered, chances are a lot of them might need help with a ride.  Low-income people don't always have cars, and the busses don't run from everywhere, especially at that time of day...Plus you're not allowed to take pets on the bus.)

Mary...Mary is Mowie's sister, and she belongs to my middle son who just recently moved out on his own and so he took Mary along.  She was so good about riding with him in a car...she didn't even need to be locked in a cage!  He brought her back to visit one time so far since he moved.  She liked that a lot and so did the other pets here.  Mary is now living with two new roommate kitties, and she's very happy in her new home.

Toto is still with us.  He's our peek-a-poo that we've had since he was born, which will be 11 years come this Halloween!  We had his mom...and he was the whole entire litter!  He's very special to us.

Domino went to a new home.  It was extremely hard letting him go but he needed somewhere that he could run.  He kept getting out of the house all the time and he would dart out into traffic.  There was no keeping him in.  (I think it was the Husky in him!)  He's got a much better place now, and a new family.  It's the first I've ever had to make the decision to give a pet away to someone else, and it was one of the hardest things I've had to do....but he got out and got hit by a car and that made it an easy decision to make.  (He was okay...he got hit pretty hard but he has a naturopath mom so I applied every technique that I knew.)

Emmy's still here...she's my beautiful kitty I took in a few years ago.  She and Mowie (and Mary) are seven years old.

My name is Sophie and I am a boxer. My mom cant figure out where and how to get a picture in so this will have to do. I am a year and just over three months old now. I love to go on hikes out in the woods. But I dont like to get stung. Which happened to me yesterday. I didnt feel very good afterwards and my mom and dad had to carry me off the mountain we were climbing. They took me to the hospital where they gave me a shot and some other medication and then I was able to go home with them. Mom and dad figure I must have gotten stung between 12-16 times. It caused my blood pressure to drop which in turn dropped me. Dad was great, he and mom stuffed me in moms sweat shirt and tied me around dads neck and we went down the hill. Which was a mighty steep hill and no trail to follow. But I am doing ok today! Mom uses my fuzzy face for her ID picture though so you can at least see my face on a good day!
