PLease help these animals June 30, 2007 7:16 AM

Please help 7:09 AM The Clock is ticking and animals are dieing in the Gas Chamber. Must get animals out this week next kill day is Tuesday unless they decide to Gas earlier Please I care for these animals so much I do not know what else to do. I need everyone’s help. Please. All of our animals that we have listed on Petfinder are very sweet. in addition, all have great personalities and just want go home and feed table scrapes (just seeing if you are paying attention.). Why do owners care so little about their dogs? What is wrong? Had a tour today of school kids I cannot believe how little they thought of animals. The boys wanted the meanest dogs and said they know how to make them mean and fight. That is exactly what I wanted to hear. The girls all wanted “Pairs Hilton Dog” We need to start early in trying to get the message out. I tried to explain how to care for your pet, but they did not want to listen. I feel bad for these kids they just do not know what they are missing in having a loving pet, best friend. Please check out the animals at Clayton County Animal Control. Clayton Co. Police Dept. Animal Control Unit 1396 Government Circle Jonesboro, GA 30236 Phone: 770-477-3509 or 770-477-3684 One of My Favorite of all Dutch Sunset is one of the most beautiful Yellow /white lab with Gold Eyes looks to be full-blooded. (Not that makes any difference to me) Jack owner surrender, housebroken, vetted, loves kids and does tricks can you say that about yourself? Last but not least: Bandit I do not know where to start with this one it's a heart breaker. I have fallen in love with Bandit at the Clayton County Animal Control In Jonesboro GA. Bandit is a beautifully, sweet, sad, funny, senior Shepherd / lab mix. He is about 8+ in age but this has not slowed him down, being at the pound did that to him. I have been sending out pleas for him for about 2+ weeks. He is house broken, knows commands, and is gentle . He looks at you and you see a wise old soul. He plays and is a fun dog but no one wants a older dog. What if tomorrow is the day What if it is to be his last day on earth . He is so sad and broken hearted that he has lost all will to live. I can look in to his eyes now and it makes me cry because he just cant go on anymore. I do not want to see him suffer. I do not want him to die in the gas chamber This is my plea for him. Rescue him so he can live out the rest of his life with love around him. If you met him you would understand what I am saying. It just takes one person to do this.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
please help these animals July 19, 2007 4:39 PM

It is always so very heartbreaking to read these messages. We have traveled all over the US and rescued 7 dogs ourselves. It was a wonderful experience. Only knowledge and education concerning the care of companion animals will keep then out of the shelters. There is no easy answer, but we pray for a solution anyway. We find that there will be times when we can only give a few minutes worth of love and kindness to an animal in need. We may be the only love they feel, and for that I am very sorry. Everyone needs to understand the responsibilities of caring for a pet and teach their children. We can only make this change one family at a time. Bless you for caring.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
dogs in shelters August 13, 2007 11:54 AM

I am sorry but I can not help. I live in Canada and I have 2 rescue rottys myself, and just can not do more than what I am already doing. I pray that these gentle babies find good homes..  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
Wish I could take one. August 13, 2007 12:46 PM

My heart breaks to read of these poor animals. We have a rescued dog, dalmation. What joy she has brought into our lives. Think that she is happy too. Just a suggestion for the animal shelter dogs, there are breed rescues for dogs, part or mixed. We got ours from Dalmation Rescue. I know that they get dogs shipped to them or pick up if they know a dog needs rescue. There are other breeds that do this, maybe you could find some in your area. I live in NJ so I wouldn't be any help. I will think positive thoughts for those animals. We teach by example, our children have instilled in them good attitudes toward all animals. If I see or know of anyone mistreating there animal, I first search for answers on the internet. When I find them, I print information out and deliver to the mailbox. Should it continue...I call the authorities.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
