The status of the children is "Missing and Endangered". A felony warrant for kidnapping was issued for the abductor on November 17, 2006. There are no further details currently available.Details of Abduction: Espanol Louisiana State Police Troop F has issued an Amber Alert for two children who are believed to have been abducted from the Tech Elementary School in Cecilia. It is believed the children were abducted by Laquita Mathis, 31, also known as Laquita Winfrey or Kimberly Bosley. She is described as a black female with spiked hair and a dark complexion. Mathis is 5-feet, 7-inches tall and weighs approximately 135 pounds. She was last seen driving a white mid-size sedan, possible a Toyota Maxima or Ford Taurus. She may be headed toward Texas. The suspect is his father, Jorge Sanchez Aguileva, who was last seen driving a burgundy Ford Expedition. He may be headed to South Carolina. The child, Edwin Sanchez Gonzales, is 3 feet tall and weighs about 25 pounds. September 03, 2006 10:36 AM Pursuit Inquiry After Chase Of Possible Suspect Called Off POSTED: 5:16 pm EDT September 1, 2006 UPDATED: 6:45 pm EDT September 1, 2006 DELAND, Fla. -- Eyewitness News has learned a pursuit inquiry was launched after a Florida Highway Patrol trooper called off a chase that may have been related to the Amber Alert for missing toddler Trenton Duckett. One trooper thought a child in the car matched Duckett's description. In the FHP incident report, the trooper involved in the pursuit said he had every reason to want to pull the car over and no reason to let him go. The report says the driver fled after being pulled over. The trooper writes that he saw the driver force a small child to the floorboards as he pulled away. The trooper notes that he tan car, with no plates, matched the description of a car wanted in connection with a murder in Saint Johns County. What's more, the trooper believes the child fit the description of 2-year-old Trenton Duckett, a child recently abducted in Lake County. There is an Amber Alert out for Duckett and a be-on-the-lookout (BOLO) alert for the car. "If the BOLOo was put out for a crime that was a forcible felony, we would be able to continue our pursuit by our policy," said Trooper Kim Miller, Florida Highway Patrol. Murder and kidnapping are considered forcible felonies and justify pursuit according to FHP policy, but the trooper said his supervisor told him to let the car go. "We are looking to see if the trooper should have been able to continue the pursuit by our policy," Miller said. In the report, the trooper makes his case to stay on the car, but his supervisor, Lt. Kevin Vaughn, is quoted as saying, "It is not against the law to have kids in the car." The trooper broke off pursuit and the car, suspect and child were gone. As a result, a pursuit inquiry was launched and FHP hopes the 2-year-old's possible kidnapper was not let go for no reason. "We don't know if we can go into the what-ifs. For a trooper, that's definitely weighing on their mind," Miller said. Marcia D.	Trenton Duckett September 02, 2006 8:27 PM Police: Missing boy likely alive Authorities say there is no evidence the child is dead, and they are looking into his parents' rocky past. LEESBURG -- For the first time since he went missing Sunday night, authorities said it's likely Trenton Duckett is alive and close by. Police Capt. Steve Rockefeller wouldn't say Friday why investigators are encouraged about the fate of the 2-year-old boy, who was reported taken from his bedroom through a window. Despite numerous searches, no body has been found. "We have no evidence to indicate that he is dead," Rockefeller said. "This [investigation] is not fruitless." Rockefeller said investigators are also looking at all possible answers for the toddler's abduction -- including his parents' rocky past. Police records released Friday show that the months leading up to Trenton's disappearance were filled with allegations of abuse and threats of violence. The boy's parents, Joshua and Melinda Duckett, both 21, married in July 2005, shortly before Trenton's first birthday. They began dating in high school, but their relationship quickly soured. "It's been a very nasty situation," said Melinda Duckett's mother, Beth Eubank, 45, who lives in upstate New York. The couple lived in Bushnell and moved to Leesburg last year. Bushnell officers said they responded last year to several of the couple's arguments and an allegation of Melinda Duckett neglecting her son. The accusation was determined to be unfounded, a report said. Last year, police took Melinda Duckett into custody under the state's Baker Act, which allows authorities to hold people for a mental evaluation if they show evidence of being a danger to themselves or others. The specifics of the incident that prompted her being held were unclear. Bushnell police would not release their report Friday. They said it was a medical record not subject to the state's public-records laws. Melinda Duckett told the Orlando Sentinel this week that she didn't want to discuss what happened in detail. But she did say she never intended to hurt anyone, adding that she was overwhelmed with the responsibilities of having a young child and being in an unstable relationship. Melinda Duckett filed for divorce in June and was granted a temporary restraining order against Joshua Duckett in July. In her petition to the court, she stated that Joshua sent an e-mail threatening to kill her and Trenton. Joshua Duckett's family members say he never wrote the e-mail. Some 1,200 miles away, Melinda Duckett's mother is setting up phone trees and sending e-mails to relatives around the country. All she wants is to find Trenton alive and well, she said. She said her daughter told her that she put her son to bed about 7 p.m. Sunday and was watching a movie with friends in the next room. She said she went to check on Trenton two hours later but he was gone. Officers said Friday they again scoured the Windemere Villas apartment complex and neighborhoods near Trenton's great-grandparents' house in The Villages. Police also continued to work with federal and state agents to interview relatives, neighbors and friends. Also Friday, several off-duty officers volunteered their time to search a field off Rolling Acres Road and Oak Street in Lady Lake with a team of search-and-rescue dogs. Police said they suspect Trenton had been there before, but they offered few other details. At the Leesburg Police Department, Joshua Duckett and his family waited in the lobby wearing white T-shirts printed with the toddler's picture and the words "Team Trenton." Family members said the shirts were donated by a local business owner. Destiny's body was discovered in the basement of a home just two buildings behind her own home, from which she vanished on July 16. "I can't understand how someone can do this to a child," sobbed destiny's uncle, Peter Brooks. Police arrested Craig Roger Gregerson, 20, for investigation of criminal homicide. He was being questioned by police and FBI agents overnight and was expected to be booked into the Salt Lake County Jail early today. Clicking one picture sent me off to look into the eyes of another, and then another... from the very young to the not so young. I can't remember where I first started; I think it was the last Amber alert you posted. A warm fire flickers beside me as I type. At least it feels that way. It is one of the fires that warm this site. It makes me even more conscious of those who are lost and cannot enjoy the warmth and comfort of their family. And then there are the families who suffer and search, waiting for their lost loved one to walk in the door and say, "It's so good to be home!" Even as the years slip away they contine to light that candle in the window with their prayers and hopes. The other and main fire that lights up this site is in you, Doug. Never have I felt your dedication and loving Spirit more than when I read your prayer regarding Natalee, and listened to the powerful song (in itself a prayer) that accompanied it.
