long...I have not been here at all and I wish to appologise.. I want to the new people we have not welcomed in. Nancy has not been here and I am certain life situations are keeping her busy.

I hope everyone is okay.  I'm sorry I haven't posted in such a long time.  With everything happening in/with/around our country and in life, in general, time seems to slip away, and at the same time, drag on.  So many things to do, to take care of, to care for....whew! 

Peace to all of you!  Let's hope this nightmare ends soon.  Prayers for all of you who has someone "there", and that they all come home soon.  When they do, Americans will provide our heroes with the welcome, support and compassion they need and deserve.  I'm sure of it!

And WOW for that graphic Terri! 

Yesterday was quite a day for our family.  We went to a 4th celebration in our town.  Southern Florida is a diverse mix of cultures, and as we walked around enjoying the sites, games, rides, etc....I thought to myself, arrogantly, "do these people really understand our fight for freedom?"  Are they truly Americans?  What gives them the right to celebrate the 4th? 

Soon the lights went down, the children found their blankets, and everyone settled down to watch the fireworks. When I looked around, I was speechless, and chastised as I saw hundreds of miniaturized American Flags held high in the air.  Glowing magically.  I saw most everyone standing with their hand across their heart as the National Anthem played.  Wow, true Americans?  I think so!

As the fireworks and music continued, I thought about our troops, and those veterans who served all the way back to the revolutionary war, imagining doing what they had to do to gain and maintain our freedom, I felt goosebumps all over.  I bowed my head, and prayed that the troops in Iraq were able to feel our collective prayers and positive thoughts as the fireworks touched the sky.

It was a magical night....for a magical country!  I hope everyone enjoyed the celebration as much as we did.
