Do you ever December 07, 2004 3:35 PM

listen to music on the trail? Sometimes when I am out for what I like to call training hikes for the lack of a better time I listen to an mp3 player. This is almost exclusive to some of my local trails that spend a bit of time on the forest service roads. Lately I have taken to carrying a heavy pack to get into better overall shape and trail shape in particular and the music tends to break up the monotony of the trail/road while taking my mind off the pack.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

When I'm hiking, I rarely listen to music. Usually because I go with a friend so that helps pass the time quicker. When I work out at the gym though, I have to listen to music, watch tv and/or read a magazine. I can't just work out. I end up watching the time drag by.  [ send green star]
