Petition to Require Pet Food Companies to be Held Accountable for Damages
This petition is in response to the thousands of pet parents and owners who have suffered under the Menu Foods recall and their slow response that started on March 16th, 2007.
HI everyone,
I know many of you have signed this already and I do APPRECIATE it! Howevr, I seem to be at an impasse and we really need everyones help with this. I am asking that you PLEASE forward this message in some form to your friends and ask them to forward it also. This petition is at about 500 signatures but I need to get it to the 1000 sig level.
This man is not just someone who owns horses. He is a licensed trainer , breeder, and boarder of horses in the state of West Virgina. He currently has a couple of law suits against him from folks whos’ horses he was boarding and not caring for properly!
He has already left Virginia because of charges brought against him there! Now he is doing the same thing here in WV. He currently has 10 charges of animal abuse against him an NO TRIAL DATE is set. He still has custody of these animals. Some pregnant!
I personally don’t think he should be in charge of a pet rock; let alone a horse! Yet he still has over 40 horses at his ranch. He has now moved them to a back field so people can’t see what’s going on to complain about it. I have had some comments from a few folks saying they think I am making to much of this ; but really I am not! This is a small town area with a lot of "good 'ol boy" attitude. Why else would there be no trial set...and yet people who inquire are being told no removal can take place until there is a trial?

Many of you have already signed the petition for this at:

Now we have an email addy for Sheriff Boober who is in charge of making the decision to remove these horses or not. At this point he is checking them every few days. Meanwhile well meaning neighbors are feeding these horses because they can't stand to watch the horses suffer.
Please, we are urging that you email the Sheriff and urge removal!

Please help us get some more signatures and emails on this...
Thanks a bunch!

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is accepting public comment on how they plan to manage Montanas gray wolves.
Currently, the federal decision to remove the gray wolf from the federal list of Threatened and Endangered Species is being challenged in federal court.
Meanwhile, wolf conservation and management remains the responsibility of the state who has recently advocated removing the wolf from the states endangered species list and reclassifying it as a species in need of management.
Montana FWP Bureau Chief Information Officer Tom Palmer said classifying the wolf as a species in need of management, means the state can manage the wolf closer.
Having the species on the state endangered species list, limits the flexibility we have in how we manage an animal, Palmer said. By placing the wolf in the category in need of management, it allows us a closer means of state management.
Montana FWP is proposing a change in administrative rules of management, that detail the manner and types of wolf-control methods that can be used by officials and citizens in order to fully engage Montanas wolf management plan and state law.
To read a list of the proposed changed rules, visit www.fwp.mt.gov and click on recent publication notices.
The rules hearings are scheduled for the following state FWP offices at 6 p.m. at the following locations -
July 16 in Bozeman on 1400 South 19th Ave.
July 17 in Missoula on 3201 Spurgin Rd.
July 18 in Helena at 1420 E. Sixth Ave.
Public comments regarding the proposed changes must be received by July 25 and can be sent to Wildlife Division, Wolf ARM Public Comment, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, P.O. Box 200701, Helena, MT 59620-0701 or via e-mail to fwpwld@mt.gov. For more information on submitting public commentary, call (406)444-3242.
