Just click on the "Join My Village" website. For the month of December, each click will generate $3.00.
When you "Like" something, another $1.00 is donated. There is a FaceBook page and every day something is posted. We can "Like" that every day for the $1.00 donation.
(At least this is how I understand it.) Teaching girls and young women they are strong and worthy!
done Cheryl i love those clicks you feeel your helping and its free for good causes thanks sis
Hi Mary - that is the same feeling I get. This info. was the Daily Action on the clicking To Donate the other day. Since it's just for the month of December (as far as I understand it) it gives us the whole month to be active.
I was reading different stories on the FB website and looking at all the pics and (Liking) them (for more donations) the other night. So fascinating! What a wonderful group and a wonderful place. So many girls and young women are going to benefit!
AND ALL IT TAKES IS DAILY CLICKING ON THE SITE, EVERYONE!
thanks Cheryl i'm on it hugs
Great idea, don't have Facebook though.
Clicked here and shared will click on "clicking to donate" daily clicks that I do too . x wendy k x
I liked the page on Facebook but I can't donate money.
Thanks Mary, Sue, Wendy and Ingrid. Such a great cause.
Sue, here's the link to the website that's not on Face Book.
Ingrid, I can't donate either. But that's the beauty of this opportunity. All we need to do is click into the website, (that alone generates $1.00 - $3.00 donation from General Mills) and then click on "Like" re the stories and pictures of the girls and women if they are on the internet website. My guess is that they are. Each "Like" generates another $1.00.
This is a huge donation by General Mills.
I just went into the internet website above and I see there is a donation made for just clicking into it. But I don't see where you can click "Like" - so I think that may only be on FB. But it all counts!
REMEMBER: IT'S ONLY FOR DECEMBER!
Join My Village, an online social change effort between international humanitarian organization CARE and General Mills announces a new partnership with global healthcare leader Merck. After its successful pilot year, General Mills and Merck are investing in Join My Village to drive deeper impact and develop new programming focused on the empowerment of girls and women in Malawi with a focus on education. Merck is known as MSD outside the United States and Canada.
Join My Village, a "click-to-commit" social change initiative, was launched in Fall of 2009 as an innovative, online pilot for engaging individuals in the fight against global poverty. One year later, General Mills and CARE are proud to return with Merck to the World Economic Forum 2011 in Davos, Switzerland (January 26th-30th) to enthusiastically launch the second year of Join My Village. Merck's investment will build on the success of the pilot year to increase girls' education and women's economic empowerment in Malawi.
