THIS BEAUTIFUL THREAD IS NOW FULL AND CLOSED. PLEASE GO TO THREAD #2:
I scrolled OK.
Yes start a new thread Cheryl! Thanks. How is Bibby doing?
Hi Cheryl thanks for the new white kangaroos and bats. I love bats, especially the picture of this one. they look like foxes! Bats eat the bad bugs, too. I need to find the cute video about a bat orphanage for you.
Hello to all of my other friends here!!!
It's strange that when I scroll down each time I come here, some of the pictures look new, as if I haven't seen them before. , what does that mean?
Should I start a new thread, ladies? Is anyone having trouble scrolling?
You're welcome, Brend. Good to see you!
Albino! I'm not sure if this is a Wallaby or ?
Look at these little faces!
Even baby Bats need a loving mom.
I rotated the picture so we could see it right-side up. Kinda cute, actually.
Thanks for the wonderful pictures Cheryl.
TWINS! Quite a handful.
BIG, SOFT, LOVING, PROTECTIVE FOSTER MOM!
Awesome, Sue... she's a Sebright Chicken Breed, and quite lucky because they are not all that good to eat... they lay small white eggs which are probably edible.. but these chickens aren't raised for the table! I have NEVER SEEN so many chickens in my life! Thanks for finding her. Now we know her name. That is such a cute little animation. Was that on the link you gave us? I've only done the dog section so far.
I love the primates. That little white fellow on the link above you gave us is so adorable! More to look at on there.
Can almost reach out and touch this babe... I don't think mum would like that though.
My heart is going pitty-pat looking at this baby. Seems there is no mum but a stuffed animal, which so many little primates are given as a substitute. Kinda heartbreaking. I guess if that other species - humans - are caring enough, the babe gets some loving.
SOME QUALITY TIME WITH DAD!
Cheryl, your photo of the chicken and chick was on a Pinterest page I was on this afternoon. When I clicked on the photo I was taken to a page with the same photo with 2 different names for the chicken. Here are the links I found, the first one looks to be more like your photo but still not sure which one it is.
This second possibility doesn't seem to be as close to your photo
Sometimes the info we find on the internet does nothing more than confuse me more than I was to start with. Not too hard to do these days.
Hi Ladies... this is another thread I love to scroll down slowly. There is such a feeling of tenderness and love and I smile all the way down.
My goodness, that BIG beautiful mama dog and her ittsy bittsy teeny weeny baby, Sue! I wonder if she felt the birth at all. Gorgeous picture -- hardly a day or so old. Thank you!
Must be very snuggly warm in there.
The other twin is waiting for his or her turn. (I think they look about the same age) So beautifully playful.
So proud of her beautiful baby!
What a wonderful look on the baby orang's face and proud Mama looking on. Those twins look like they need lots of good milk to fatten them up. Their legs do look overly long, probably only because they are both so thin. What a wonderful accomplishment for Mama though to deliver 2 such beautiful babies. Here is my last photo from the group. Hope to have some time for looking for more soon.
WOW... terrific link, Sue. There are so many things to look at and I will be coming back to continue viewing. Thanks for finding the name of that primate who is just adorable loving her baby like she is!
Pinterest is great... once I get in there I have a hard time getting out. I think whoever posts the pics may not have much info so they just put "cute" of something like that. The pics you posted are AWESOME! Wonderful momma lionness and elephants, and momma bear.... but that last one probably made the photographer a millionaire! What a shot... just beautiful. Thanks so much for posting these.
I don't know how this mother horse delivered TWINS! Look at those long legs!
Decided to add this one, not exactly fitting, but a wonderful family photo of many generations.
Cheryl, the white maned primate is a Colobus Monkey. Had to search with google for ages to find it. Seems all the photo info is stripped out when uploading to Photobucket. Pity as it was there while it was still on my computer. But I backup onto a flash drive and it is not big enough to handle many photos so delete them after they arrive on Photobuckt. Here is a wonderful link with tons of photos and info.
Think the other one is a cheetah, the face markings look right, the bear reminds me of my original teddy bear who had a face just like hers. But those photos from pinterest do not often have much info on them, seems they strip out the info too which is a shame as we are always left guessing what on earth the beautiful animals are. Just love your new photos of the donkey and monkey. Such a lovely thread this one. Here's another from my raid on pinterest.
Sue, I do the same thing when I come here -- just smile while I scroll through and get acquainted with all the pics all over again. This thread, with all the love and tenderness shown, has such great vibes! We can't help but pick up the wonderful feelings that come with them.
Keep your eyes open for the name of the lovely bird, ladies. I am intrigued now.
Sue, what is the name of that primate with the beautiful mane? LOOK at the smile on that baby's face! Baby giraff getting a gentle kiss from momma is adorable. Is that a Cheetah mom and babe? There is a real conversation about something going on there -- BEAUTIFUL! And the monkies with the twins... what a beautiful, loving family. You're right Sue, little junior on the side looks left out a bit. But probably there was an arm wrapped around him right after that picture was taken. (Incredible picture!) I think that's a Grizzly Bear, right? It's almost like you can feel the texture of her hair -- wow!
Barb, can you see that post that says, "Copyrighted Image....." or is it just me? It's strange how we often can't see what another can see and so forth. If so, I will delete that one and you might want to try to post a similar one, hopefully? But the beautiful swan mom and babes pictures are showing up. Awwwww Can't help but say that all the way through this thread.... Awwwwww!
Mary, the Hedgehog is so cute! I like the way the little one is tucking his head under mom. Sometimes we may not attribute such affection to little animals like this, but even mice and rat moms seem to have an instinct to not only protect, but fuss over.
Thanks ladies, for such wonderful wonderful pictures.
Miniature Donkey Mom and Babe
The tenderness in all the pictures on this thread just MELTS me... and probably lowers blood pressure to boot!
Barb, I've noticed that any photos that have the URL from cache.desktopnexus.com are not loading for me on care2, they do show up in the emailed group posts though. I even went to the site and none of their photos would display for me there either, the thumbnails did though just not the full size ones. Maybe they are having problems at that site, or something is wonky on my computer? Sent them an email asking why this happens. Then went back through the emailed group posts still on my system here and the photo of a swan with one cygnet and the owls from clarkvision are the 2 not displaying for me.
This photo blows me away, but I feel sorry for the older youngster who seems left out now that the twins are the center of attention.
OH dear which image was that that is gone now. All I did was share. Sorry about that ladies.
Aaawww so adorable Mary and Sue!
Love the hedgehogs Mary, I miss them as we don't have them here in Canada and we used to see them all the time growing up in the UK and always left them some food.
You are most welcome Sue! I love the adorable baby giraffe with mother giraffe kissing baby's head.
Love the swan and cygnets Barb!
Aaaawww So beautiful and adorable!
Beautiful Birds and monkey ladies. Chimps are cute. Sue this monkey has a beautiful mane! And Cheryl I don't know the name of that bird either. Yes such a happy page this is with such beauty!
This is a very relaxing thread for me and I always look at all the photos every time I come here, sometimes because I don't remember if a photo has already been posted, but more because they are all such happy photos. That bird is a real beauty Cheryl, no clue what it is though, although do remember watching a nature program about it ages ago. Wish memory improved with age instead of leaking all the important things as time goes by.....
I love looking through this thread too, Sue. Such tenderness with that mother giraff and her baby. Sometimes it's like looking at the pics for the first time when I scroll through. Can't help but smile at all the beauty and tenderness during those precious moments.
This one kind of matches the giraffes! lol She doesn't look like a chicken... anyone know what the name of this bird is? Sweet momma!
They are playing just as humans play with their young. So beautiful.

Lovely pictures ladies, just love this thread.
Awwwwww, Barb, I could just cry looking at that sweet, dear baby Flamingo! What gorgeous pictures... and I've never seen them before! Thank you so much!
Mary, that mare and her foal are having a sweet conversation! I just love it! How tender and loving they are. And Mom Zebra is keeping close to little babe Zebra.... so cute. Thank you so much.
I think we could carry on with this Motherhood thread forever! It renews one's sense of what a beautiful world it is when we see these wonderous relationships. I just smile all the way through each new pic.
Baby Bison with Proud Momma
Cheryl I found a few more Flamingo Mom's Pictures!
Thanks Cheryl, Sue, Mary!!! Yes animals give just as much love or even more love to their babies! Even birds do! Look at that little baby Flamingo. I never saw a baby Flamingo. Huge feet
Thank you Sue and Mary! Such teeny tiny little faces and hands! Just warms the heart so much. How can one NOT smile with love? The gorilla mom with her older child is one of my favourites (from Pinterest too). I couldn't stop looking at it. There is something so special going on between them. I can't see these moms having any less feelings for their babes than we humans do for ours.
These baby feet are amazing! Must take a while to learn how to use them.
It amazing how elephants and hippos and rhinos have such tiny babies and seem to survive around their HUGE parents! I wonder if hippos have a herd like elephants? I'll have to find that out.
Mary, not sure why your photo will not show up here for me, it showed perfectly in the emailed copy of your post, wonderful photo!

they are so lovely i love the little elephant Sue ,the cows Cheryl the dogs the poar bears the cats and the lions all of them
Lovely photos Cheryl, the poor dog looks exhausted, so many puppies to take care of. I do so hope tortoises give birth to soft shelled babies whose shells harden after they are born. Here is another from my raid on Pinterest. Not such a tiny baby, but the love is so obvious.
Thanks Cheryl and Sue
Hello to all my dear friends here!
I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this. At the same time, I feel kind of sorry for her because she looks overwhelmed at what just happened to her. She now knows why she had that 'stomachache'.
Oh Sue, how positively adorable the polar mom and cub are, and that momma dog with perfect little babe is so amazing. I feel like I have to be quiet because they are so happily asleep! lol Look at that baby's little furrowed brow -- hee hee. And the tummy looks nice and full. Love them!
Yes, I agree - the more happy photos and videos we can look at these days, the better. The more we see of someone saving someone else, or doing something kind - the better.
Beautiful photos Cheryl, thanks for posting them. It is almost impossible to see the chicks as they are so well co-ordinated with momma cat. Love the one of the tiger, you can see all the barbs on her tongue. I found a bunch of photos on pinterest and hope to remember to post one a day for the next little while. With the overwhelming amount of heartbreaking news lately we need happy photos and videos to keep us smiling and sane.
Here's another sweet cat mom and kitten almost in the same position as the one above. They all appear to be happy and loved.
This picture has been around for awhile but it's just so cute I have to post in here.
Gosh it's good to see you too, Barb!
Sue, I just about teared up looking at the pictures you posted, and my smile couldn't be any bigger!! That little foal is so shiny new ... and the parrot cuddling her baby... never seen a cuter pic of parrot and baby! Awwww... I had a couple of Chihuahuas who looked just like that momma, and one who had babies who looked just like those babies. My heart is full. Thanks so much for these wonderful pics. We are getting such a wonderful collection.
Here's one for World Cats Day (today, Aug. 8th). The chicks she has adopted look just like her! Is there a secret lover in this picture?
These beautiful Lynx or Bobcat look as if they purposefully posed for this pic!
Aaaawwwww Thank You Sue and Cheryl!!!
Hi Mary, Lynn and all my other friends.
Wonderful photo essay Cheryl, glad the baby was saved by that spectacular mother. I was sent an email, which I hope Lynn forwards to you, with some spectacular photos in it. Here are some of mothers and their young.
Hi Sue and Barb! Thanks for awesome pics, Sue. That fuzzy little babe couldn't be more than a few days old. Maybe his or her first swim lesson. Such loving scenes... mother elephants with innocent babes. (PLEASE GOD, KEEP THEM SAFE!)
And such is this story of a mother's love.

aaaaawwwwww thanks ladies!
Lovely photos Cheryl. Couldn't resist this one. I may have watched the same program. It was called Sex in the wild, the elephant episode? or maybe the other elephant episode of My Wild Affair?. Here's another lovely photo
For all intents and purpose, this beautiful dog IS the MOTHER for all the chicks. A beautiful foster MOMMA! God bless her gentle heart.
Now, jumping over to Australia.....
Hi Barb -- so glad you like this thread. I kinda thought you would!
Here's another momma and beautiful babe
And this one makes me laugh seeing those babes practising just what wolves need to learn to do!
Thank you so much Cheryl and Sue! Hi Mary!
Hi to anyone else reading here.
I love the swans Cheryl! And adorable kitties Sue!
Love and big hugs.
Barb, Baby, Beenie
Hi Mary, Barb, and Sue. I'm glad you all like this thread. It's nice to have some threads to take us away for awhile from all the murder and mayhem going on in the world.
Sue, that is such a beautiful picture - "A kiss for mommy." And the cat holding her kittens so tightly.....awwwww. Some say it's just 'Nature' for these animals to do the right thing by their young. I find that so completely wrong! No living thing could interact so genuinely affectionate without actually feeling the same as we do.
I watched a documentary the other night that stated elephants actually have more feelings than humans!
Love this thread Cheryl......
Thank you Cheryl for such adorable mother and baby pictures especially of the horses!!!! I love all of you Hi Mary!
such beautiful pictures thank you everybody
A beautiful day in the sunshine for a mom and her foal to play... then snooze together!
We have all witnessed the incredible beauty, emotion, and care shown by mother animals and birds for their young. It's time to share those pictures and experience that beauty together! There are animal and bird fathers who exhibit protection, care and playfulness with their young as well, so please include them.
If anyone has any poems or prayers for animals, they are sure welcome here. They need every good thing we can send their way.
This picture is so beautiful it brought me to tears. I think this mom feels the same as how I felt looking down at my own new baby so many years ago.
