What is Sustainable Spirit anyway?
Well we are a non-profit organization that has really taken off since last May. The idea was birthed by a beautiful spirit by the name of Fiona Young from New Zealand. I met her May 1st 2004 and we brainstormed and collaborated and really got some good roots in the ground. Now we are spreading out all over the globe!
I will be certain to post updates and actions going on from us in this thread!
Here are the basics of who we are and what we stand for!
SHARE AWARENESS (of our challeges and solutions to
these challenges we can empower ourselves with) SHARE INSPIRATION (thru
creativity...music, art, poetry, etc..., and thru living examples, films,
speakers, stories, through deepened understanding of the interconnectedness of
life, solidarity...etc...) EMPOWERMENT (to help empower people with
experience, skills, knowledge, awareness, support, etc.. to step forth on a path
of respect & solidarity for life in all its diversity, embracing peaceful non-violent action, positive communication, holistically sustainable living
(sustaining harmonious balance for the health and vitality of all living beings
and our natural and social environment where we empower ourselves and our
communities with our positive choices....) CULTIVATING CONSCIOUS COMMUNITY
(to bring together those wanting to embrace and learn more about living in a
respectful and caring and compassionate way, to create space for a diversity of information that is charged with energy for the greatest good of all, to help
the creation of supportive networks supporting local and global intitives and
networks for the healing of our planet and all life on Earth.
