Hi. I am very happy to see this group despite Woodrow warning me it would be "boring." Thanks for the invitation, Woodrow.
Although I am not Moslem myself, I lived thru the 80s in Malaysia, which is from where my hubby comes. Also, I studied Islamic philosophy as part of my masters work. Hence, I have many, many Moslem friends and even relatives... greatly loved and respected, I might add, although I am sure everyone in this group would already understand that.
So, please allow me to stand shoulder to shoulder with you in opposing terrorism in whatever form or wherever it appears. And, may the terrorism unleashed on millions of innocents worldwide in the name of a war on terrorism be stopped immediately!!!

Salaam my precious sister!! (smile) -well my heart & soul are fully dedicated to this wonderful group, but it was our dear brother Woodrow who started this group-I think in the wee hours of the morning!! (He caught me online going thru threads in our other group-so-i was blessed to kinda see the birth of this one!!
Karla, in many ways it is correct to say A'isha started this group. Without her, Moe. Tomoko, Yourself and all the members it never would have been. Each and every person here is who started the group.

I belive the diversity of all of us speaking different languages adds to the value of this group. Actually the various spellings do add to the individualality of each person. We all try to write phoneticaly, so when we see how another spells a word, we are actually getting an indication as to how the persons native language sounds if we could hear the person instead of reading.
There is no need for any of us to feel we need to be grammaticaly perfect here. Our goal is communication, not scholastic apptitude.
Yes it definitely adds to a person's charm and personality. What would be funny is if i showed you my attempts at writing arabic. I tried the other day, and put much work into it only to find the the whole thing was backwards!

Well, Karla, if you see both transliterated April 07, 2006 4:30 PM
side by side, you would see that they are actually quite similar -
F.i Shalom Aleichem in Hebrew would be Salaam Aleikum in Arabic. My Pictures. Yes, those are made on the Computer, using photos. I do them as collages and then I just use the different filters provided with my four Graphics Programs.
Thanks to Moe for the invite. Although I'm not a muslim, a jew or a christian, I'm happy to be here for the promotion of peace and the opposition to terrorism in whatever form. Hope it's ok for me to belong here?
all religons Islam , Chritan , jew , ... what ever you follow is just a way for God . we all have our way to reach the heaven and all of them are much similer .

Thank you for the invitation Bro. Woodrow. I have to disagree with you that the group will be "boring". Talking with others about al-Islam and Allah can never be boring for me. I welcome any opportunity to share my love for my faith and to correct misconceptions that others may hold about it.
greetings and welcome! as salaamu alaikum my dear sister!! so good to see you here!! may Allah ta ala bless us all with knowledge, wisdom and compassion in this wonderful group-you will love it here-so many good things to discuss, and so many beautiful people!!
Thanks for invitation ,actually now a days muslims are victims of terrorism and nothing else and I wish we can do some thing to stop violance against them.
Mehr I asked you here because the topic of Iran keeps coming up again and again and thought you could offer your expertise in the area if not publically than by PM. Also hoping to get to know you better my friend. Woodrow also told me that Muslims are subjected to terror as well, I think there is a thread, I'll have to Bump it out of the archives.
Sandra, I invited over from the free palestine forum. We are trying to find solutions from a more moderate standpoint. Welcome sweet friend.

I am also not Muslim - but was married to a Muslim and now live with his family. Just about everything we see in the media and just about everything put forth by the current US administration about followers of Islam is BS.
I was not invited to this group, but stumbled on it thru the Middle East Needs Peace group.
So glad you are here!! Make yourself at home, and when you have time-feel free to read the posts, archives, etc..lots of good topics and information!! Also-the sister group--The Truth About Islam-is also very good-warm, loving and beautiful atmosphere!!
If you have any questions-just ask! and know you are welcomed & loved!
Thank you, my friend, Amin for inviting me. I hope to stop by often to see what is happening in the group. I feel like I can learn a lot from this group. I'm glad to be here. JennieB

i was going through the news network and noticed that most of my friends and i note very similar articles.. well, perhaps that's why we're friends.. we must have a lot in common.
terrorism is a common issue of interest for all of us, so it's only fitting that we have a group where we can discuss related news, and our thoughts and feelings
wow I look through here and see some have been here since 2006. I guess Im a late comer. But am happy I found this group. I want to learn all I can about muslim religion. So anything you can share with me will be welcomed with open arms.again I am happy to be here. peace brothers and sisters and loe
Welcome to our group and i hope you can learn something about Islam inshallah.
im really happy to read what you wrote about accepting the islamic ideas with an opened arms, this is the best way you can find the truth about other religions.
feel home here and you can ask about anything you need to know.
I dont know where to start because I know nothing about the islam faith. Maybe somebody can guide and teach me. I feel as if I am being drawn to this religion. Can this be? All I know is that I believe it is a religion of love and not hate. True?
Although I am not Muslim, I see many friends here, and believe strongly in stopping all forms of aggression. I am happy to be here and I have invited myself!
