Tell us a little about yourself
Stories are so wounderful to hear. And we would love to know about your little loved ones.Any thing goes in this group. You can add a picture so when you tell us about your little ones we know what they look like.If you do not have pictures with us that is OK.We will still love them anyway.
Before I moved, I lived with my girlfriend and her cat. We are no longer together, but we are still good friends. Jenny (the cat) is about eight years old, and a very wonderful tortiseshell tabby. I miss them both. As I expalined in another message, I am not able to have a cat right now. Hopefully after I finish school.

Hi Everyone! Thanks for the invite, Saffron!! I am a dog lover and a recent foster cat mommy! I am allergic to cats, but came across a cat when I was at an animal impound taking in dogs for our foster group. I walked past the cats and this one caught my eye. I asked to hold him. I usually avoid cats because I don't want hives and I don't want the rest of the allegic reactions! I HAD to hold him. He nuzzled up to my face and purred like crazy. I asked to foster him. He had been there for 5 months and his time was limited so I took him and he's been with me for about 3 weeks. Someone told me about these cat dander wipes and my kids wipe him down once a week and it has been GREAT!! He stays in our family room and son's room and he is doing well. He does have some issues and hopefully you can all give me some tips on how to deal with these issues!! I'm so excited that I can foster cats now too. I will only foster one at a time to play it safe, but I am SO happy about it!!
We have three, Spider, Grendle, and Tallis. Max-man passed away last year.
Tallis is this round ball of kitty, a wash-out tortie. Grendle is a mass of orange and white hair. Despite his size (18.5 lbs) he's really a chicken in disguise. Spider is solid black and UTTERLY spoiled. He is my brat baby and feline drama queen. He needs constant attention and talks, talks, talks. Of the three, he's the only one that will go out on a leash.
Still, Grendle is my lovey-boy and Tallis adores my youngest daughter. Because of my husband's asthma, none of the cats are allowed in our bedroom and office. So everyday while I'm working both boys will sit right outside the door (even if it's open) and watch while I work. They sit ouside the bathroom as well, it's like having toddlers in the house.
My name is Jean and have until ? years ago, my family always had a cat; one of our favorites was Rosy, she would have a litter a year, and we always were able to find her babies good homes, and if my father liked one of the kittens, we always were able to keep him. The last cat I owned while living with my parents, yearsssss ago was Rochester. Friendly enough, he wasn't a lap sitter, but when the weather turned rainy and with claps of thunder, you couldn't get him off your lap and removed his head which was buried between your arm and body...I miss him.
