I met a few Jews this weekend who told me about their trip to Israel.

It was paid for by the local Jewish community here in Montreal and there are apparently Jewish communities worldwide who do the same thing, since the people I spoke to saw many others who were sponsored and paid for by their communities.

It is not a bad thing to find out about another country, whatever country it may be.  But the point of this exercise was to brainwash people with a one-sided view of the whole thing.  David, the most adamant of the group, and a certified atheist, said that he couldn't believe how emotional things would get sometimes as the tour guide showed people the atrocities committed against the Israeli state.  They always made sure that the Jews taking the tour felt as if they were one and the same with Israel. 

David and the others felt bad about what they had seen and what they were told.  But there was nothing said about how the Israeli state had retaliated and killed Palestinians. 

At the end, this was part of the current Israeli plan to attract more Jewish immigrants from all over the world to move to Israel.
