dont know the exact cause of sudden infant death syndrome - SIDS - but
research has shown that babies should be placed on their
backs to sleep. Although parents may be vigilant about this practice at
home, over half of daycare centers are not, so make sure that your
daycare center has a written sleep safety policy.
also say that running a fan in the babys room can decrease the risk of
SIDS by over 70 percent.
Tips for preventing SIDS:
Put baby to sleep on back
Use a firm mattress
Use a crib or bassinet
Keep your baby close by
Offer a pacifier
Moderate room temperature
