Here's my Marley Bob, so called because the friends that gave him to me hold an alternative technology circus at various festivals throughout the year including Glastonbury. Marley was the only male kitten born to a litter of four, all of whom were born whilst the 'Wailers' were playing at Glastonbury festival (this may be the reason our Marley kitten is so vocal). He is a little character ~ infact he is not so little now as he is just coming up to his first birthday at midsummer (I will post a Birthday portrait soon ~ as he has grown since these others).
Marley's best friend in the world is our Heather ~ an eight year old Labrador/Pointer cross, she is adorable and affectionate and we love her dearly. She is also incredibly brave. This year she has endured two extensive surgeries for mammory cancer and a toe amputation due to a very aggressive cancer on her paw. She has not complained at any point and is now running around like a puppy, which is such a relief. I will post you a Heather picture here soon.
Am very much looking forward to meeting your pets.
I think that animals are very sensitive and responsive to healing energies in a way that many humans have lost (I think this is because many humans analize these things instead of going with their natural senses).
Here's a pic. of Lovely gentle Heather ~ she was still a bit poorly when this was taken, I'll get an updated one on here soon ~ Heather loves LIGHT too ~ I have given her hands on healing and my friend Michaela has given her crystal bowl healing* which Heather loved ~ it made her very relaxed.
Oh how I wish I could take pictures ! I have 9 kitties and a sweet dog. My kitties are all mostly strays and feral cats that chose to find me in various places and live with me. Thay can be vey insistent little creatures when they choose you, even when I say"I have too many kitties already"' they say, " But I have no home and Im very sad and hungry" so I cave in.
My cats names are :Neema the Brave, Nanny, Rhiannon, Raja, Juniper, Beau Boots, Maigs, Tolly and Smoo.
Smoo is my baby that was found on a blustery, very cold nov. day, his little baby eyes were not even opened yet and he was all alone crying. I nursed him with formula for a couple of months, it was exhausting . I felt like crying sometimes because I would be so tired, I had to get up at 6 to get kids off to school. But now he follows me every where and rides on my shoulder and rubs his little face on mine, I am his mommy. They are a joy and I love having tea under my pine trees with my kitties in the mornings !
My Juniper is a tabby also ! I found her at work eating from the garbage cans, she was very ill with a respiratory infection and eye infection so she cost quite a bit of my paycheck to help her.
Now she runs all over my yard and enjoys the shade under all our big trees. Shes a cutie !

What lovely pets - and names! Loving strokes to Heather, Cocoa Kitty, Marley Bob (love the story of that name) and all Debbie's family of cats, especially Smoo!
My Trojan had a similar start to life as Smoo's - he fought hard and hung on in there - so much so, I said to the vet 'He's a real little Trojan' and pouff! ....he was named!!
'Tallulah Rose Phantom' - Rose was her mum, Phantom her dad, and she is well, just a little madam!! It HAD to be Tallulah.
Jane, Your kitties are adorable. which is Trojan and which is Tallulah? They are both very pretty and have lovely names (Trojan certainly earned his). Give them both some warm cuddles from Auntie sumea.
You and Joanne and Debbie have all rescued kitties from the brink ~ it is really great and heart-warming to be around such loving people.
I did a bit of rescuing myself a while back. I found an abandoned farm kitten, he was barely alive and very tiny, like Debbie I had to feed him formula (I know how it feels Debbie) and the vet bills knocked me back somewhat also. But of course it was worth it, I called this little poppet Puddy. I also rescued an older kitten called Poppy at the time. At that time I wasn't in the position to keep them, so once they were on their feet, I had to find them good homes. They both went to a lady who had recently lost her two cats from old age and she welcomed both Poppy and Puddy into her great loving heart (she also had a huge garden for then to enjoy). I was still a little sad to let them go though, because I had become so attached to them.
I have rescued numerous Rabbits and Guinea Pigs ~ had around 24 all at once at one point, and later found good homes for them too. I kept a rabbit I called Hopi ~ because he was so peaceful (he had a very sad past ~ was kept in a small shoe box by his previous owner and all his fur had been burnt off by his own urine) He was a darling and lived his days free-range in our garden (exept on very cold days) ~ he used to come and greet when me when I went out there each morning.
I kept three guinea pigs too. Pig-a-Pig was my daughter's and became a favourite, I miss him a lot since he scampered over the rainbow bridge. Plato was a little dear as well, very gentle. Gabriel pig was blinded in one eye and had a crippled leg ~ sadly he wasn't with us very long, but during the short time we had together he developed a larger than life personality. He loved to sing, particularly hymns ~ his special favourite was 'Jerusalem' I was singing this by chance one day because my daughter wanted to hear it, little Gabriel started squeeking along at the top of his voice and looked very happy, so we sang along together quite a lot after that. I still sing to his sweet spirit now.
I sometimes think that perhaps Pig-a-Pig and Plato and Gabriel are guardian angels to the trio I have now. Pumpkin, Brambles and Prince. Pumpkin is a plump pumpkin coloured pig who loves his cuddles. Brambles is my daugther's pig, he is long-haired and very laid-back (another good name for him would have been Hippy). Prince is black, white and red and has a little white crown on his head, he is a very happy skippity sort of pig.
Apart from Heather, Marley Bob, the guinea-pigs, and three goldfish. We have a love-bird called Birdie. I was originaly given a pair as a present (due to them being someone else's unwanted present) they were then called Yin and yang, but when one died shortly after they arrived, we just got to calling the remaining one Birdie. Birdie is a bit sinister in some ways. He is highly intelligent and loves horror films ( I don't but my daughter loves Hitchcock and those Japanese movies). Birdie loves Psycho ~ particularly the famous theme music which he can imitate extreemly well, but his favourite film of all is the Hitchcock one with the birds!!!
I will let you into a secret. I have been plotting and planning setting up a pets/animals group. I can't do it just yet as I haven't the time, but once I have got all my other groups properly established and my general workload lessens as we get towards winter, that's when I'm thinking of starting one. I have got a Panda group which I began because my daughters loves them so, but I haven't got much on there yet, exept for some good Panda cam. links, which are fun to watch.
Goodness I have really been rambling here ~ have you managed to read this far? are you still awake? lol.
Gotta go ~ it's my son Jay's Birthday today (it is also my brother Keith's and my nephew Josh's ~ my mum,my sister and me did a hat-trick between us, by each giving birth to boys on 18th June ~ Jay was born on my brothers 21st Birthday), and my two youngest (twins) Steven and Marylyn-Rose, both celebrate their nineteenth Birthday tomorrow 19th June.
(My kitties are under their names as I labelled them - Trojan, the boy is on the left, Tallulah the silver spotted kitten is on the right as you view them!)
Do please go to my Photo Album if you want to see what they get up to!!!
