" Les Carthaginois " (the people of Carthage, around 800 BC) wore 2 piece on the beach, real simple cloth with just knots on the hips, like loops. Then came the big books who told us to dress "this way"...Who knows, probably evolutions that no one could or woud have stopped...Maybe we´re returning to our original nature to walk about like many of us still do in the jungle, one day...
I tried to post a pic of mine, I couldn´t. Am still all thumbs, so I posted the thing above instead; by the way I don´t intend to extend my knowledge of cyber coz what good...
Gee it's not THAT long ago Vicky. In the 80's I think. It was some time after I married. Not sure but I think it was in France, if so then my sister-in-law took the pic.I have about 4 different ones.I never wore a bikini before I married I know that.
See that dog in the background, it was doing it's business on the sand! naughty dog.I could see it in the larger pic
You go girl! I couldn't find the smiley that was whistling, Lily. LOL You were probably one of the first girls that ever wore a 2-piece, huh? I remember when they first came out, too.

Awwwww, in some of your pics you look like a sexy vixen, Lily and in the last one you look so innocent! Here is me, my old german shepherd Holly (red sweater) and Buddy.
I got it from a catalogue Vicky, didnt cost much about £14 .99 It isnt real stone and not heavy, 2 screw in poles to push into ground.I have videoed the squirrel there burying nuts, will put it on once I have downloaded on here.
Here is Maurice's memorial.I planted some miniature tulip bulbs there today. And then when I looked out a naughty squirrel was burying his peanuts there!!!
But he didnt dig them up as I had put another layer of compost on top there. He will probably forget where he has buried them anyway the little monkey.
Actually I never had boys like me much til I was in my 30's Lily. Ain't that a hoot? You are so lucky (blessed) that the dog didn't bite you....I think they can sense babies/young children. Given a choice between looking at a baby or a dog first it would be a tough one for me cause I love them both!
wow some hair do that Vicky!! but nice, bet you had all the boys after you.
Kathryn animals make SO much more lovely pics !!!! and I have to admit If I came across someone who was pushing a pram and walking a dog on a lead at the same time ---then it is the dog who has my attention!!!! cant help it, have always been that way.
When I was very small I was told I went up to a big German Shepherd and threw my arms around it, the owner said 'I dont know how she got away with it as he would normally have gone for you@!!!!!!! Thats me -act first, think later lol
Actually, I have only seen my son once since he was 2 and that was when he came down this past December to visit with me. He is struggling to get over me not being in his life all these years. I thought I was doing right by staying away, but apparently it wasn't a wise decision. So, I'm leaving it up to him to make whatever decision he needs to to figure things out.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves taking photos. Especially of our furbabies & flowers. Hehe!!!
LOL! I KNOW what you mean Kathryn....I have more pics of animals/pets and trees/flowers than I do of humans. hahahaha! So your son lives far way in Virginia...how often does he visit you? I'm sure that is always a treat.
Well, except for me & David, all of his family lives in Houston, an hour & a half away from us. My son, who lives with my dad live in Virginia where I was born & raised. I'll see what I can do about getting some of my furbabies photos up for you. I love them. I have more photos of them than I do of my human children. Pretty sad, uhn? LOLOL!!!!
Kathryn, your family is lovely! Do they all live close to you and David? Be sure to later post some pics of your furbabies, too. I just love looking at pictures of other people and pets, also!

Awwww, you look so young and innocent, Lily. You still have that same pretty smile.
Hey, this guy me and my sister knew in Jr. High emailed me a photo of me from 8th grade (1965) the other day. Was I ever that young? Are you digging the 'hair do'. LOL Sorry it's not very clear.

Taken some years ago ,my first and last ride (thank goodness!!!) I was bruised for a week!!! it was a big horse too(a mare) and I was calling it 'boy' !!
What a cute couple you are, Marjorie!! And you look so tiny. Ahhh...I miss those days. LOL I hope you and your hubby have many happy years together and thanks for posting your sweet photo!
My niece had a liver transplant Vicky which was going well to start with, then everything started to go wrong and her body couldnt cope any more. You may remember me telling you before she had thyroid cancer and had been ill on and off for years.
It is ironic that after all she went through with that she died from something else. She was only 43 years old.
You have lovely children, Michelle! I love the pic of Rick with the psychelic background. Boy that brings me back a few years. LOL (quite a few teehee!) Is that Haight~Ashbury (as it was called in the day) or just Haight Street?
What a lovely wedding photo, Kathryn! Glad you could laugh when the knife broke in the cake. LOL Looks like you all were having a wonderful time of it.
I absolutely love all the photos. Sorry I'm late in getting my photo posted. But here is my husband, David and I at our wedding reception last year. We had to cut our wedding cake with a Dewalt Sawzall. (It was an ice cream cake that was really frozen.) This photo shows us breaking the knife after trying to cut this cake before bringing out the sawzall. LOL!!! Anyway... here we are.
Great photo, Susan! Hey, God willing, I am going on one more cruise (probably my last one) this December!! It will be back to Mexico. This time I will spend more time in the beautiful waters.
Yes, I know ~ most groups have the threads with their members mugshots on them and this group is no different! LOL Let everyone see the person behind the 'post'. It can be a photo of you alone or with a family member or pet but you must be in it! Here is me at the very top of Clifford's Dome on the Smokey Mountains in April, 2008!
