Who are the animals in your life?

Time for some pet bragging - tell us about your not-so-human family members!

My husband and I have 5 wonderful pet rats who are absolutely spoiled.
Our girls: Luna, Gaea and Chloe
Our boys: Ramses and Osiris
The boys are fixed so they can all live together in a big cage and come out to play with us in the evenings.  They are hilarious and of course have all their own personalities.  Today Osiris demostrated that he truly understands the word "dinner".  He was completely ignoring us trying to coax him out of the cage but burst into action as soon as my husband said the magic word
We're thinking of getting them a couple of rabbit friends but we're not sure if our furniture can handle more gnawing pets!

We also have regular visits to our back yard from squirrels, birds of all kinds, a raccoon, a possum and Puff, our favorite skunk.
rats, cat's, and fish oh my!

I'm covering some broad ranges in pets I know. People think I'm crazy to have a kitten with rats, but they honestly get along. The only problem is that Charlie, a 7-week-old kitten wants to play with my two rattie girls like kittens. The rats understand what he his but don't really favor his nips. Charlie is now passed out on the rattie cage of Suzanne and Evelyn. Furley the betta has an issue of not swimming away from his food. Fish honestly are not the brightest of creatures.
AHAH!

See I KNEW cats and rats can get along, but no one believes me!  We're hoping to do that one day too.  You have to take pictures as proof - kitten sleeping in cage with rats sounds like the cutest thing I've ever seen!
kitty rat love

Yes I will try to get some pic's of the babies sleeping together. Charlie, the kitty, loves to bat at his sister's tails. He doesn't want to hurt them since he has my feet to attack. Right now he just rested himself against my foot. His rattie sisters enjoy grooming him and have not tried to ever bite him, even when he has tried to nip at them. Rats and cats can get along. I have seen full grown rats chase dogs and cats with no problem. I have only heard horror stories from people having rats with other rodents. Rats have been known to kill gerbils and hamsters (showing the nasty side of rats). I of course keep a close eye on all my babies when they are out and about playing (except the fish-he wouldn't last long).
