County of SD Animal Control is issuing pet cat/dog/rabbit spay/neuter rebate coupons (ex. $50 for females/$40 for males). NO feral cat rebates. Coupons are good for 60 days. Some vets charge more for dissolvable sutures in female spays. Be sure to ask prior to making the appt.
Some vets do a FIV/FLV test prior to surgery. If positive, they usually euthanize the cat. Ask prior to making the appt.
Most feral cat spay/neuter requires that cats be transported in live traps which can be obtained through the Feral Cat Coalition. They have a live trap loan program. 619-758-9194
