Our little apartment habitat July 12, 2006 8:06 PM

My daughter and I went to work and in one weekend transformed our 8x8 apartment patio into an oasis for hummingbirds and butterflies. Not two weeks later, we discovered little caterpillars in our newly planted container garden!! How exciting is that? Now we are watching them grow and can't wait to have some new little butterflies floating around!! Just goes to show you that anyone (landlady permitting) can create a habitat right in their backyard!! If there are any other individuals out there either working on your habitat, or already certified, let us know here!!  [ send green star]
Backyard Wildlife Certification July 12, 2006 7:55 AM

I have not certified my backyard yet, since I am renting right now and is only so much the landlady will let me do in the backyard ... hehe ... But ... have any of you certified your yard with the National Wildlife Federation ( or the Canadian Wildlife Federation ( Not sure about other countries!  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
