Life without parole sentences give judges and juries a viable option to capital punishment when people have committed horrible crimes.  If that option was removed, we'd likely have no hope of having the death penalty repealed.  Society would also see an increase in vigilante justice.

Some crimes are so grotesque that only permanent removal from society is acceptable.  Think of the victims.  They matter, also.  Their families matter. 

I fight for human rights for prisoners.  I do not believe life without parole is ever a suitable sentence for any minors.  However, I do believe some inmates deserve permanent incarceration in humane prison environments.  Read the newspaper.  There are some people just don't deserve to be free, and police officers and prosecutors do a great service to remove them from society.

I dont believe that all the people in prison should go free, and this would only happen to prisoners who have proven that they have changed,every one has the right to a second chance, I thank God he gave me a second chance and as a mother who has a son doing life withour parole  who is innocent, this is one hope for us JoAnn
