Whatever happened to fairness and equality Am I not human like all of you Do I not have feelings just like you Yes? By the way you look at me I wouldn’t say I do Because I’m gay you treat me like I have some contagious disease To you I’m nothing more than a worm upon the sidewalk Meant nothing but to be stomped and trampled upon by millions I too have feelings although you may not know it Sometimes you’ll beat us to the ground and even that isn’t enough for you You’ll pistol whip us and kick us while we’re down And then when we’re barely breathing you’ll tie us to a fence and just leave us for dead in the cold night You call us fags because you don’t think it hurts us Well it does just like it would hurt you to be called fat, dumb and ugly I don’t have to take this crap at all I refuse to let you beat us around anymore Your reign of supremacy is no more I’m standing up for myself now Whether you accept me for who I am Or launch a barrage of negativity whenever you see me That’s your choice I cannot tell you what to believe Nor do I wish to I just hope I can influence you You might not want to believe it but I’m queer and here to stay   Posted: Apr 29, 2006 5:58pm | comment (1) | discuss () | permalink     fetching data...
