My sister and I have created a project to help feral cats. It is what you call Trap-Neuter-Return. A Trap was offered to us by an association that does the same. And this year we have spayed 6 cats. We have created this project because where we live people drown and burry the kittens alive. They refuse to contribute financially for cats spaying. Right now The Portuguese national Postal Service is holding a contest for a postal stamp that according to the regulation of the contest “is susceptible of being emitted in 2008”. It says that the “CTT (Portuguese National Postal Service) may change totally or partially the works created”. Therefore the only certainty is that a prize of 1 500 will be delivered to the winner and that money would be a real blessing for the animals we are helping. Money is like a magic wand for animals.Everyone agrees that money is very important for the animals, to spay them, to save their lives when they are in danger. I have sent a proposal of a stamp that I drew myself and I applied under the category "Animals and Nature".  Help me to win this contest for the animals. Slowly we will paint their world with other colours, changing one here and there by touching things, by touching them, by interfering, by acting. I believe that I have changed a little the area where I live. I did not change minds or hearts. They are as they always have been. I have conquered many enemies but I changed their lives and futures and that is all that matter. And I believe that they are grateful and happy. They are not angry at us even though we have trapped them. They still trust in us. They see love. They remember the good that was done to them. Therefore till May 31 do not forget us.
