One of these days I'll figure out how to share a couple of mp3 files where I talked on the radio (KPFT/Pacifica), once about IMPEACH freeway signage, another about GREEN PARTY in Texas (believe it). And I cannot do it alone.
I get and give a lot of my energy to GreenWatch TV, we air TV on public access cable in Houston, Texas. (Paid for by Harris County Green Party). I also do custodial work at www.hcgp.org which I invite you to visit, and give feedback for improvements. I could even send you a DVD or VHS of one of the shows we make on TV. I wish we could do streaming video on the web, but I understand big bandwidth costs more, likely to cost MORE (google net neutrality, dammit). This almost becomes a blog.
I still spend time going to Green Party meetings, and have recently been elevated to the State Executive Committee (see www.txgreens.org) in the midst of a statewide ballot access petition drive... That costs more time, of which I have less and less, as the seconds tick by.
Death Penalty abolition is a passion of mine, living as I do in the heart of where America kills the most, Harris County, Texas. (just google) But please know, China kills more people casually. Truth matters. Per capita?
We must ask. But we must stop the killing.
OH! IMPEACH! By that I mean, Impeach Bush, Fire Cheney, Jail Rumsfeld. See ... oh my, my inbox and to-do list get swamped. See www.houstonfreewayblogger.com for photos? Fear not, America! We shall overgrow this sick government!!
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
Strongly support a moratorium on executions originating in Houston, Texas.
What/who changed my life and why
My parents and theirs mostly made me who I am; I have not needed to change that much, because they passed along their activism and belief in social justice. The movie Dead Man Walking helped, as did my older son in the fight again capital punishment.
"I think over again my small adventures My fears, those small ones that seemed so big For all the vital things I had to get and reach And yet there is only one great thing The only thing To live to see the great day that dawns And the light that fills the world."

... I wish a peaceful weekend. Look around and enjoy the beauty of Mother Earth my dear Friend. With Love Ana
Only a night from old to new! Always a night from old to new! And in the first day, My wishes are few: The beginning of the end Of all wars in the world That all the soldiers safe return home The beginning of the end Of the prejudice, intolerance, racism Hunger, greed, attacks to life. After that night is the first new dawn And may we can start from the beginning, Living together, without haste In union with kind Mother Earth.
... I wish you a new year full of Love and Peace my Friend Ana
A child is... A butterfly in the wind, Some can fly higher than others; But each one flies the best they can. Why compare one against the other? Each one is different! Each one is special! Each one is beautiful!
I wish you a great friday and a wonderful weekend my special friend With Love Ana
The glistening sun is shining On the sparkling water, The sparkling water is connecting To the pretty ocean, The pretty ocean is as beautiful As a bachelor button flower, The bachelor button flower is yellow and blue Like the sunset sky, The sunset sky is giving peace to the Earth!
Fly Another morning comes again You rise as soon as the dawn breaks. You force yourself to carry on, However much your mind aches. The thought of freedom, The tangles of love and pain, The things you remember to breathe for, The reasons you remain. I have one thing to ask of you; Just please, can you answer me why? How can you keep your feet on the ground, When you know you were meant to fly?
"Someone has said that a friend is a bank of credit on which we can draw supplies of confidence, counsel, sympathy, help, and love. And that is true, for if you have a genuine friend, you possess riches greater than silver or gold. Which, of course, brings us to the other sideof the question: are you, and am I, the kind of friend that others can treasure?"
There's nothing as nice As someone who shares, Your laughter, your secrets, Your wishes and cares, Someone who's there Through your good times and tears, Who stays by your side As your friend through the years.
"The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly smile... it's the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone else believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship."
