Clean Energy This summer, thanks to pressure from UCS supporters like you, committees in both the House and Senate passed national renewable electricity standards (RE requiring utilities to generate an increasing amount of energy from clean, renewable sources such as the sun and wind. In addition, the full House passed an RES for the second year in a row, this time as part of a comprehensive climate and energy bill.
