I'm an unconventional, freethinking guy about to turn 50. A Sheltie rescuer, a technical writer, science fiction fan, husband and Dad. I welcome all peaceful beings to my page and life. We may disagree on issues, but we must never harm each other over them.
I am somewhere between agnosticism and atheism, because since we cannot have total knowledge of the universe, we cannot be entirely certain that there is no deity. However, I do not believe in the supernatural because there is no proof that it exists. I firmly believe that religion exists only to bolster our fragile racial ego against the realization that humanity is just another species, and that the universe is neither friendly nor hostile, but merely indifferent to our existence. We can go just as extinct as the smallest organism.
I am convinced Humanity is in a crisis of its own making and that we collectively must cooperate to find our way out before it's too late.
"The April rain, the April rain, Comes slanting down in fitful showers, Then from the furrow shoots the grain, And banks are fledged with nestling flowers; And in grey shawl and woodland bowers The cuckoo through the April rain Calls once again."
- Mathilde Blind - "April Rain"
I wish you dear Friend a weekend with peace and that you enjoy Mother Earth beauty. With Love Ana
Each day I try to find a path Between my head and my heart Mind makes words But heart makes you feel them In a world of unexplained mysteries An empty heart doesnt care An empty heart has no love to share A happy heart makes you sing A happy heart makes you smile Some are old and some new Always making you feel something And we wonder how and why because: What is a heart? A muscle that has no pain But beats for you and the world Over and over again...
Only a night from old to new! Always a night from old to new! And in the first day, My wishes are few: The beginning of the end Of all wars in the world That all the soldiers safe return home The beginning of the end Of the prejudice, intolerance, racism Hunger, greed, attacks to life. After that night is the first new dawn And may we can start from the beginning, Living together, without haste In union with kind Mother Earth.
... I wish you a new year full of Love and Peace my Friend Ana
"If you have only two pennies left in the world, with the first penny you should buy rice to feed your family. With the second penny, say the wise Japanese, you should buy a lily. The Japanese understand the importance of dreaming..."
... I wish you a wonderful week dear friend and, Dream With Love Ana
The Friendship I have with you It is unbreakable When you're feeling down All alone and unloved, Remember I am here for you Through all of the above. You will always be my friend Through whatever comes our way Because... The Friendship I have with you It is unbreakable like time.
Holloween Night is such a fright Ghosts and Goblins are really a sight The witches stir brew The goblins they drool The bats fly high up in the sky While the children all laugh watching the costumes they pass As they knock at the doors They say Trick or Treat Only in hopes for a really sweet treat Holloween night is such a fright
You have a special place in my heart The place that will never empty You take up the biggest space When your sick I will be there to confort When you hurt yourself I will be there to help When you heart gets broken I will find the peaces No matter where you go Whatever you do I will be here for you No matter what happens Always know I love you In every way I can I will give you my heart Every last bit of it I give you my Love All I have in it.
Fly Another morning comes again You rise as soon as the dawn breaks. You force yourself to carry on, However much your mind aches. The thought of freedom, The tangles of love and pain, The things you remember to breathe for, The reasons you remain. I have one thing to ask of you; Just please, can you answer me why? How can you keep your feet on the ground, When you know you were meant to fly?
"Someone has said that a friend is a bank of credit on which we can draw supplies of confidence, counsel, sympathy, help, and love. And that is true, for if you have a genuine friend, you possess riches greater than silver or gold. Which, of course, brings us to the other sideof the question: are you, and am I, the kind of friend that others can treasure?"
