Namaste...which means that I bow to the Divinity within you that is also within me...we are therefore equals. 

Divinity is present in all.  Our true nature is love and when we share love with others, we are fulfilling our true purpose in life.  The universe reciprocates this love.  When I see others being exploited it hurts me to the greatest extent.

For this reason, I am very passionate about animal rights.  Humans are animals and just as we feel pain, sadness and tremble at the thought of death, similarly non-human animals do the same.  However, they do not have voices to speak up for themselves and they are so often victimized. 

We must be their voices and protect them so that they can live and be happy just as we want to live and be happy.  This must be a collective effort.  Mahatma Gandhi said that the moral progress of a nation and its greatness should be judged by the way it treats its animals.
