About Me 1990 was a year in which many political and historic events occurred: Gorbachev was elected president of the Soviet Union and later that year won the Nobel Peace Prize; East and West Germany reunited; Nelson Mandela was released after 27 years in prison; and Iraq invaded Kuwait, a move that set off a series of acts that led to the first Gulf War. It was an auspicious year for me to be born, and, whether it's chance or fate, I became politically active myself. I am ambitious, determined, dedicated, and diligent, and I follow through with what I start.

What Gives Me Hope ďAre you upset little friend? Have you been lying awake worrying? Well, don't worry...I'm here. The flood waters will recede, the famine will end, the sun will shine tomorrow, and I will always be here to take care of you."

Quotation "Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth -- more than ruin -- more even than death.... Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. Thought looks into the pit of hell and is not afraid. Thought is great and swift and free, the light of the world, and the chief glory of man."
