My passion in life is midwifery.  I love to teach women how to have a natural, healthy pregnancy and help them to give birth naturally at home.  Pregnancy is a state of being, not an illness.  I once saw a video of a woman who went into labor while stranded in a tree during a major flood.  She gave birth in that tree, just as the rescue helicopter was coming to her aid.  Both mom and baby came away well and healthy.  Women are strong!  We are designed to carry and birth our babies!  I also love to educate and support women in breastfeeding.  La Leche Leaugue, International is a superb place to start.  I strongly believe in and encourage attachment parenting. 
Our future is in our families.  I believe that strong, loving families build a strong, healthy society.
   I am a vehement animal lover.  I have a keen interest in medicinal herbs and homeopathy.   Pretty much, I just love all things nature and natural. 
   I figure if I had been born about 15 years earlier, I'd have been a long-haired, tie-dyed, beaded hippie.  But then, I'm a long-haired, tie-dyed, beaded hippie now, so I guess hippie is a state of mind. :)
