Our Blood Is Not Cheap Anymore

Kill JewsWe Desire Death Like You Desire Life

The New Anti-Semitism, (Deja Vu All Over Again)

A life and death war is raging in Israel and Gaza. In the news papers, street demonstrations and the internet another war is being fought for our minds. One may ask, and rightly so, what else is new? First and least importantly is I am writing about it both in a blog but also in the news article comment wars. Second, and most concerning to me, are the parallels between the rise of Hamas and the Nazi party. The first time I wanted to call attention to the targeting of Jews in Mumbai, India with radical Islamist Jew hating. I entered the news story comment wars when Israel attacked Hamas in retaliation to years of missile attacks against civilians. The comments there started with the Pro-Israel v. Pro-Palestinian type of semi good natured debates. As this went on I began to notice a “buzz” which was different than the usual “who was the aggressor” and, “what’s this all about type of questions and comments”. In the course of these discussions comments were made stating “… the Jews brought the Holocaust on to themselves or quoting ‘The Protocols of the Elders of Zion’ as legitimate references’ and finally being told that people were sick of hearing about the Holocaust”. Mixed into protests around the world were comments like “Gas the Jews” heard in the Netherlands and in Florida “Go Back to the ovens”.  A spate of attacks also started to make the news like a car ramming into a synagogue gate in France, a Chabad Menorah and Jewish owned shops having swastikas spray painted on them and an Israeli basketball team having to be rescued from a “lynch” mob in Turkey. My thoughts hadn’t quite solidified about this when I wrote, in one of my comments, that, I was beginning to feel that this wasn’t about land or territory anymore. I read the Hamas Charter and I couldn’t believe my eyes to the virulent Jew-Hating manifesto that so many people around the world were blindly giving credence to. If you haven’t read the Hamas charter, please check out the English translation at http://memri.org/bin/articles.cgi?Page=archives&Area=sd&ID=SP109206. The manifesto includes the following blind genocidal Jew hating phraseology;

1.      because our fight with the Jews is very extensive and very grave Muslims fight the Jews and kill them,

2.      so that the Jews hide behind trees and stones, and each tree and stone will say: 'Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him,' except for the Gharqad tree, for it is the tree of the Jews."

3.       You strike more fear in the hearts of the Jews

4.      The Nazism of the Jews

5.      Israel, by virtue of its being Jewish and of having a Jewish population

I read a quote from an interview with a Hamas cleric;

Hamas knows one big thing, which it labels "resistance" or, for Western audiences, "ending the occupation." Just what that means was made clear by Palestinian cleric Muhsen Abu 'Ita in a televised interview he said. "The annihilation of the Jews here in Palestine is one of the most splendid blessings for Palestine."

I ask, are people so emotionally over involved with the horrors of war that they over look this racist hate manifesto? The moral-ethical dilemma that jumps out begs the questions, does one support a political party because they offer work during times of high unemployment, security during very insecure times, state pride when there is no state or the state has been compromised or because they make the trains run on time? After WWII many Germans claimed they had no idea about the extermination camps and when asked about there membership in the Nazi party they answered that they were unemployed and needed work and that the Nazi Party brought calm, nationalistic pride, jobs and security. In our enlightened hindsight we now see the corruption of all morality in order to realize a nationalist goal. “We will look the other way because we are suffering”. I challenge people of all political persuasions and ask, are we not facing the same moral and ethical questions again? Didn’t the Nazi Party offer answers to social and political problems through there social programs, but in parallel, have in print a manifesto of hate and death? Is the world about to enter into another “devil’s contract”?

At the end of the First World War the world entered a global depression. Our history books are filled with pictures Germans in the Weimar Republic with wheelbarrows full of useless cash. Once again we are in a world wide depression and once again a group, “Hamas”, offer solutions and declares that the cause of all there problems is the Jews, and when eradicated everything will be wonderful. Are we living in some kind of Parallel universe? The Nazi’s came to power through an election as did Hamas. The first thing the Nazi’s did was eliminate the opposition as did Hamas. They offered work and brought the Germans out of the Depression and the Germans felt pride again after a humiliating defeat. Is this not what Hamas offers?  The Nazi Party offered a quick fix but at what price? In hindsight we can say it cost 6 million Jews, 20 million Russians, 20 million Germans and that’s not counting the dead gypsies, Catholic Priests, Gay’s, political prisoners and civilians caught in the cross fire. Has the world not learned the lessons of appeasement? In Europe the support for Hamas is out of control. It’s as if everybody wants to look the other way about Hamas’ primary objective. I want to shake everyone and shout wake up everyone Hamas’ primary objective is killing Jews in order to right a perceived wrong. When I or any Jew raise these parallels we hear “please don’t bring up the Holocaust again”. I wonder if they would say to an African American please don’t bring up slavery again. It is insulting and racist. My parent’s generations were the extremely damaged survivors. Then, there is use of the word Nazi being used against every Jew including Israeli’s. Has the world forgotten the industrialized and assembly line methods of killing Jews the Nazi’s invented and with precision like timing nearly perfected? Where are Palestinians being rounded up in the middle of the night and brought to extermination camps, or used for slave labor or having there body parts used for lamp shades or to make soap?

I am really scared, as should everybody with a conscience, because the level of Jew hating and bating is reaching levels not heard of since before WWII. What is going on with people who consider themselves so progressive and in actuality are legitimizing blind murderous hate? There are Palestinian groups that will negotiate so, support them. Hamas not only has Jews as hostages but the civilians of Gaza as well. They callously use there mothers, fathers, grand parents and children as canon fodder. Ralph Peters in his opinion column in today’s New York Post says “…let's be absolutely clear: Except for dead Jews, there's nothing Hamas leaders like better than dead Palestinian women and children, since the global media's appetite for dead kids verges on necrophilia”. Wake up everyone we’ve been there, done that!

These photos have inspired me. I can barely take my eyes off them and I've run them as a slide show, and shared them with friends. It takes eyes to see such wonders, and great talent to enable others to share the seer's heart.
