You can't pigeon-hole me! Mutant, alien, I just don't seem to fit in to this world. my 'kids' even more so.The experience of years helps me to cope with the complexities of my life (not quite managing) and all my (our) health issues. my belief in the Creator sees Her in all life and don't believe that humans have a monopoly on that Life. Besides intense interest in people and societies, I feel closer to other species and to 'nature' than to most humans, although I am not as cynical as I was in the fifties, I feel that humanity (and the Planet) are at their most crucial "fork in the road", with one fork leading to the destruction that we already see so obviously, (if we aren't in total denial), or we will evolve in the direction of the groundswell of humility versus hubris, stop trying to control Mother Nature, and try to harmonize with her and save the Planet, and thereby, ourselves.
Most of the energy that I do have after the Fybromyalgia and Lyme disease and ? are done with me, is directed at trying to help my family past their Neurological, health, emotional and life problems. I have always "rescued' animals, one way or another, since early childhood, pretty much regardless of the cost (in energy, time, money or hassles from people). Most important to me now: developing my spirituality and making anykind of difference to help all beings through the challenges we all face because of what humans have done to the Earth. I am both a calm, somewhat wise, informed person, and an anxious worrywort messing up (literally and figuratively) my surroundings and my life.(my family's too inspite of the balance still being heavier in the 'help' department. my soul is a dancer, an artist, a feral 'shaman' a being of the country rather than the city (where I have been for far too long to the detriment of my soul and sanity)
Grew up in the bush of Northern Ontario nearly a feral child and totally intellectual-philosophical. Always rooted for the "Indian" and booed the calvalry at the Saturday Matinee
Everything is part of the Creator, seen in whatever way (I choose the Mother aspect) none can survive without the rest. Almost all is relative to the situation. No one has the right to judge, but absolutely the right and duty to protect self, family, the rest of Creation. Non-involvement is still involvement. There is always a choice, even if it is very unpleasant. Without love, there is nothing. Motto: Serenity, Wisdom, Resilience, Joy, Love - to be working towards, always. Mitakuye Oyasin.
What Gives Me Hope
the renewed groundswell of spirituality and true ehtics, love and caring for Nature and our world, Steve Irwin, David Suzuki and Al Gore and all who emulate them
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
Eliminate the majority of Bureaucracy, make "stock exchange" and the oligarchy illegal, eliminate the opportunity for cruelty to animals - of all species...None of which would work, I'd be assassinated immediately
What/who changed my life and why
my father, even more after he died - I was 8. The Science Fiction that he introduced me to posthumously. Al Oeming RIP who introduced me to a Cheetah, many nature-oriented values. Also a love and respect for Nature, an extreme dislike for injustice, self-righteousness (still working on it after all this time), hypocrisy, lies and discrimination.(and chauvinism in all its forms - eg humans over animals Europeans over Native People.....
