I am trying to figure out who I am besides a mom! First of all I am a woman of faith- I think this describes it best...
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin."
I'm whispering "I was lost,"
Now I'm found and forgiven.
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need CHRIST to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and need HIS strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
but, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain,
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
who received God's good grace, somehow.

I am a wife of almost 25 years.
Mother of 2 beautiful daughters, 21 and 19. Trying to let them go! Being a mom was my life!!!
I love my 3 doggies,Harley, Fiona and Mandy, and Starbucks.
I love people, and try to reach out and help at every opportunity. I have been through a lot, and believe God can better use me now because I can relate to people in so many areas!
I was a wild child who has tried desperately to raise children opposite of how I was at that age!
My Philosophy
All things work together for good of those who love God!
Everything happens for a reason, and something positive can come out of the worst circumstances if we give Him control.
What Gives Me Hope
I am finally figuring out I don't have to have all the answers to everything because God really does have it all under control! My hope is in Him..... I find hope in the fact that no matter what we have done or how old we are, we can still grow and learn and God's grace, mercy and forgiveness is ALWAYS there!

Make sure my own life was in order because if you can't manage your own life, how could you expect to lead others and effect any lasting change?
What/who changed my life and why
The book that has helped me the most would probably be "When God Doesn't Make Sense" by James Dobson.
Giving my life to Christ has of course the event that has changed me the most, 23 years ago.
My husband is the person who has impacted my life the most. I have known many people in my life and I still have never met anyone with the patience or unconditional love that he has. God knew just what I needed!
