i feel i am coming into my own finally after 37 years. i strive to be the best in all i do, sometimes to a fault, but at least i'm doing it for my own satisfaction and not for the sake of others.

What Gives Me Hope
i give myself hope. i get renewed faith in mankind everytime i meet someone new and my first impression is one of honesty, openess and respect.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
i would work on making social programs such as elder care, veteran assistance, and behavioral health my top priorities. i would also want to see substantial improvements made in our education system as well and target at-risk youths at even younger ages and offer incentives on parenting skill workshops and training.
What/who changed my life and why
"The Prophet" by Gahlil Gibran because i believe dying truly is nothing but 'melting into the sun' and i am so thankful to come to this realization thanks to this book by learning of it most recently from a dear person who died unexpectedly and it was his favorite author. at least i can now say that i do not fear the inevitable any longer.
