What Gives Me Hope
Our work with East County One Stop and the DBA Association for Business Owners with Disabilities is one example. People with disabilities who want to start their own businesses now have access to resources that can help them develop their business idea. From creating a business plan to finding financing, help is available to entrepreneurs who want to get ahead.
With your help, we are able to help Tom, who had a car accident and now uses a wheelchair. Through a United Way program, he got startup funding and support to turn his idea for an EZ Hiker one-wheeled chair for people with disabilities. Now, he is able to support himself with a thriving business, while also helping others
