My Philosophy
Trust your instincts while maintaining a flexibility (my inner voice tends to work much better if tempered by the idea that no one person or group can possibly know every valuable insight, fact, or point-of-view).
What Gives Me Hope
Don't let yourself feel beaten down when "evil" rears it's ugly head in the public eye. The constructive forces of The World tend to work more quietly (and each new generation breeds a more cunning, freshly energized network of wide-eyed lust-for-lifers!)
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
Encourage respect between people for every individuals natural talents (based on the belief that humankind, like one great telepathic being, will fill every necessary niche in society if the garbagemen of The World are treated with the same dignity as doctors...)
What/who changed my life and why
VALIS by Philip K. Dick, because it demonstrated to me the subjective relativity of sanity vs. unique insight, as well as being able to find humor in the direst of personal dilemmas.
