I use to live up north, in the New England area, and these flowers were the early signs of spring so I do know what you speak upon. I know my friends and family back north are more than ready for spring. Living here I forget it is even winter most of the time until someone reminds me of it. I don't miss cold, ice, snow.......people & places I miss, but I've made home here so I'm very contented to remain where I am.......

Still a bit overcast but is expected to be sunshine and in the low to
mid 70's. I'm going to the annual Mardi Gras parade that our town
holds to raise money for the local no kill animal shelters, so instead
of people dressing up, although some do, it's the dogs who do and
are on the floats and walking the parade route. The businesses put
out bowls of water for the dogs to drink from while they watch parade
too. It's a fun day, and it is the community helping the ones who are
helping the animals that need homes. We even have a shelter that
takes in disabled animals, pigs, horses, so they are depend on this.
