My family wishes to locate a piece of rural land where we can grow our own family and pet food. We have a small sanctuary for disabled animals but live in a subdivision. We would like to have a piece of land, maybe 5-8 acres where our animals would have more room to roam safely and enjoy a life that animals deserve, grass, trees, etc. We are reclusive in nature and are looking for an uncleared area, or a piece of land nobody really wants because it's not good to put a house or mobile home on. We wish to have natural housing like a combination of straw bale, yurt, tipi & canvas tent, We would like to welcome small wild life. If you know of such a place please email me handipets@comcast.net, I'd like to hear from you.
I am a very rustic earth loving person who finds the best day being one where I am draped in cats, tripping over dogs, and battling kids for computer time.
Be Everywhere and do what you can while you are there. You can find Handipets many places on the web spreading Sidney's Journey around for others to learn from. Check us out on Myspace http://myspace.com/handipets Or just Google handipets and find out where Sidney's Paw has been.
What Gives Me Hope
My Family
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
What/who changed my life and why
My Cat Sidney and those who helped him. Sid was shot by a neighbor who knew he was a pet, he came home with is forepaw barely attached. I was on the Court TV message boards at the time and I posted about this. Many people came forward and asked if they could help. Within 72 hours my boy was in surgery having his leg amputated. They saved his life. His courage and his journey into his new body led to the decision to turn our sanctuary into one that took only physically disabled pets. The people who helped told us "don't pay it back, pay it forward" so we opened the website handipets.com to help other injured and disabled pets any way we could.
