About Me Artist, curious, open, conscious, mindful, reader, lover of nature and animals, trying to see beauty in everything, open to opposing views, but irritated when there's no room for respectful discussion of these views; fierce protector and defender of people, animals, or environment that's being exploited or harmed.

Wild Fact About Me I have a white streak of hair (natural) at the front of my part that started when I was about 30 and has slowly spread to my temples. The rest of my hair is dark brown. OK, not so wild, but it's unique (at least until Rogue from the X-Men came along, but hers looks more blond...) and it's ME.
My Philosophy Never loose sight of another's humanity, don't be afraid to sit with the homeless person in the subway station (for example), say "hi," have a conversation (or just sit quietly) for a while & offer some change or your lunch. "Only in your deepest, darkest place do you see the light."
What Gives Me Hope sunrise.

What/who changed my life and why continuing to live with treatment-resistant depression & PTSD 16 years into it, It's devastatingly painful and took away a career I loved, prevented me from having children, and left me unable to work, creating pretty severe financial difficulties. Would I go back and change it? Absolutely not: I've learned so much about myself & my strength, the importance of compassion, and being open to a path that's unknown & so very different from the one planned.
