"...finally freed from the tyrannous bondage of his own mind, he burst forth into the sunlit fields of Elysium. Immediately he took flight, streaking across the open skies of his beloved home. He became aware that his serpentine form had shed its black demeanor entirely, opting for a beautiful golden visage that radiated the brilliance and compassion of his true inner being. He noted the liquid grace his body possessed and roared with delight as the shame and despair of his unconscious years melted away in the sunny air. His sense of well-being was overwhelming! And he knew it would only improve..."
The belief that The One consists of The Many or that The Many co-ordinate as The One (semantics aside, they are the same belief from differing perspectives). I am One of Many as I am Many of One. Recognizing myself and where I am at right now, I see that my experiences are a direct result of what I have chosen to believe and focus on. I understand through experimentation and observation that I am a Self-Responsible Creator-Being, meaning no one else can create my experiences for me unless I agree to (thus fulfilling the prophecy/Law of Self-Responsibility).
What Gives Me Hope
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
assisting others in recognizing their own identity as Self-Responsible Creator-Beings. Upon reaching a critical-mass understanding, the world is healed of fear/hostility and we are able to realize our true potential as Individuals as well as Collectives.

“The moral duty of man consists of imitating the moral goodness and benificence of God manifested in the creation towards all his creatures. Everything of persecution and revenge between man and man, and everything of cruelty to animals is a violation of moral duty.”
–Thomas Paine from The Age of Reason
Vegetarianism, one potential cure for the disease of speciesism, has a long and rich history. A number of individuals noted for their impressive moral, intellectual, social, literary, or political accomplishments were vegetarians, including Edison, Einstein, Gandhi, Kafka, Pythagoras, da Vinci, Tesla, Plato, Tolstoy, Thoreau, Jane Goodall, Cesar Chavez, Isaac Bashevis Singer, and George Bernard Shaw.
My favorite quote: "There are things that we know, and there are known unknowns. That is to say there are things we now know that we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. These are things we do not know we do not know....Simply because you do not have evidence that something exists, doesn't mean you have evidence that it doesn't exist." George W. Bush
