Above is a small thank you for all you have done for me, especially in my absence since 1/08. I became ill - almost died - spent several months in the hospital during which time my bank accts, computer, credit cards were hacked and ultimatley I not only lost my home but everything else and ended up in a rest home. (I found this picture in a Friendship grp Rob S. & Sharon R. host ..... Sharon left this for me and it says everything I want to express to all of you....
In April a lady who worked in the home took me home and this is where I presently am. My pets were killed when the house was broken into and Kimberley now resides w/her father and works in a bookstore. I am trying to put my life back together - at least I can walk again - I had to relearn even that from my illness. But, I am actually writing to thank all of you for your continued friendship - love and concern. No words will ever express how much your love has meant to me. I am seldom on line due to no computer and have begged my friends son or his girlfriend use of there laptop to contact all of you. I was sorry to see many had left - am saddened not to hear from Janice Jenkins or Ami Kathleen and hope should any of you read my note you'll pass the word about me. LOL hard working - house keeper - teacher up for adoption - am 57 and willing to relocate .(Wish I wasnt serious.) Anyway write snail mail - if you drop a note in my care2 mail, I'll write back and send my address. Love to all of you - and Happy Holidays/Birthdays/Anniversaries/baby births for all of those I missed. I remain with love your friend. Kat
for all the years to come.
MAY 2009 BE A MAGICAL ~~~~ HEALING/LOVING YEAR OF PEACE FOR ALL MANKIND. GOD GAVE ME BACK MY LIFE AND NOW IT IS TIME FOR ME TO REBUILD IT.
TO THE LAKOTA PEOPLE I BID YOU A WONDEROUS JOURNEY - MAY IT BE FILLED WITH LOVE - COMPASSION - WISDOM - PEACE - FRIENDSHIP AND THE BEST OF ALL THAT THE WORLD HAS.. MAY EVIL AND STRIFE BE SOMETHING OF THE PAST. MAY YOUR DAYS BE BLESSED. YOU HAVE SUFFERRED LONG ENOUGH. YOUR INTEGRITY IS A LIGHT WE WILL ALL FOLLOW SOMEDAY. WITH ADMIRATION AND LOVE, I REMAIN... KATHRYN
If I could catch a rainbow
Globe by Joyce G. (Agnes you will always be my Rainbow) Remembering Essie Estrellita T. and all the Care2 friends who passed away - those of you who are ill and those who left: Deborah V. - Jennifer - Lyn Lawrence and so many more too numerous to count. You are missed - but never forgotten.
If I could catch a rainbow I would do it just for you, And share with you its beauty On the days you're feeling blue
If I could build a mountain You could call your very own, A place to find serenity, A place to be alone
If I could take your troubles I would toss them in the sea, But all these things I'm finding Are impossible for me
I cannot build a mountain, Or catch a rainbow fair, But let me be what I know best, A friend who's always there

WELCOME ~~ to my home page ~~ love, Kat
SOMEDAY NOW THAT I CAN WALK AGAIN - I'LL FIND THE MONIES TO START OVER - A HOME...A LIFE ABOUT ME ~~~~~
Although I am a deeply emotional person, this past year has drained my soul. I believe that people are for the most part good and decent, though I have come to learn to my despair greed is a strong motivator for others to do evil.
Having lived abroad, I know that in order to learn, you must be willing, to change - accept how others live and learn from traditions and culture. I hope and pray to open a bookstore w/my daughter SOMEDAY.
As trite as that may seem to others, sharing with an open
mind and heart can heal gaps - and bridge differences.
It is a joy to be a member of the Care2 family - this is a place -
a forum that essentially lives the ideals I believe are possible.
Having taught in inner city schools, the realization that we, as adults are truly no different from the children, brings home the need to have a safe place -- a place where one's opinions can be expressed with out hate or anger - where differing experiences can in fact mesh and find a commonality.
I adore watching others learn for I learn from them. I love suggesting new ideas - and differing points of views. I love that young people ponder the view and do,most times in fact expand, become excited. I adored my pets - (I miss them -Sabs my chow/lab and Fiona my blk cat died last yr - the dog was killed and Fiona died of a broken heart) - Aurora the sister chow/akita and Pawz my Hemingway Morris the cat look alike both live now in New Hampshire - adored - loved and pampered. I havent seen either since March of 08.
The love they shared with me - the joy they gave - the selflessness.
My daughter has been my Angel - my Friend - my Rock and Safe Haven when the sea's of life were stormy.
I look forward to meeting many more people here and hopefully in the bookstore (should the dream come to pass).
I am eager to experIence more - write.. I will reply. This I promise you.
You have a voice - employ it and be heard.
Help make this a safe - loving - caring world. Have a magical LIFE - TREASURE IT AND THOSE YOU LOVE - IT IS EASY TO LOSE IT ALL.
I BELIEVE - That we don't have to change friends if,
we understand that friends change.
I BELIEVE - That no matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you every once in a while and
you must forgive them for that.
I BELIEVE - That true friendship continues to grow,
even over the longest distance Same goes for true love.
I BELIEVE - That you can do something in an instant,
that will give you heartache for life. (I know this).
I BELIEVE - That it's taking me a long time to become
the person I want to be.
I BELIEVE - That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. (You never know when this is your last chance with them.)
It may be the last time you see them.
(The above I dedicate to my family - my daughter Kimberley - my beloved pets - to Ami Kathleen - Janice Jenkins - Lynn Lawrence - Walter - Denise - Sue Davis and those loving friends I have made here at care2).
I BELIEVE - That you can keep going long after you can't. (Perhaps I am living proof of the above.)
I BELIEVE - That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel. I BELIEVE - That either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I BELIEVE - That regardless of how hot and
steamy a relationship is at first,
the passion fades and
there had better be something else to take its place.
I BELIEVE - That heroes are the people who do what has to be done,
when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I BELIEVE - That money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I BELIEVE - That my best friend and I can do anything,
or nothing and have the best time.
I BELIEVE - That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down, will be the ones to help you get back up.
I BELIEVE - That sometimes, when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I BELIEVE - That just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
I BELIEVE - That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you ve celebrated.
I BELIEVE - That it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself. (To all my friends - please know I am still trying to learn this). I BELIEVE - That no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn't stop for your grief.
I BELIEVE - That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I BELIEVE - That just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.
I BELIEVE - That you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.
I BELIEVE - That two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.
I BELIEVE - That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who dont even know you.
I BELIEVE - That even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
(I believe in and have lived through many of the things said above these past 28+ months. I have also learned that much of the above statements are very true, often times painfully so.)

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE one old love she can imagine going back to.. and one who reminds her how far she has come...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE enough money within her control to move out and rent a place of her own even if she never wants to or needs to...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE something perfect to wear if the employer or date of her dreams wants to see her in an hour...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE a youth she's content to leave behind...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE a past juicy enough that she's looking forward to retelling it in her old age...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE a set of screwdrivers, cordless drill, and a black lace bra...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE one friend who always makes her laugh...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE a good piece of furniture not previously owned by anyone else in her family..
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE eight matching plates, wine glasses with stems, and a recipe for a meal that will make her guests feel honored..
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE a feeling of control over her destiny... (AMEN TO THIS)
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW. how to fall in love ...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... how to quit a job, break up with a lover, and confront a friend without ruining the friendship... and how to change a tire!!!!!!!
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... when to try harder... and when to walk away...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... that she can't change the length of her calves, the width of her hips, or the nature of her parents...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... that her childhood may not have been perfect...but its over...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... what she would and wouldn't do for love or more...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW.. how to live alone... even if she doesn't like it...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... whom she can trust, whom she can't, and why she shouldn't take it personally...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... where to go... be it to her best friend's kitchen table.. or a charming inn in the woods... when her soul needs soothing...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... what she can and can't accomplish in a day.. a month...and a year...
I believe that EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW ...
that they can survive - (I DID)
succeed and become a better person because of all the truths they learn. Every Woman should be privileged to have a best friend - (I DO - LISA CRUZ), and a loving - wise child -----

Stop Identity Theft... Do not allow your life to be taken. Beware of those that you date - for the person who you think is safe may in fact steal from you -
stalk you and try to have you killed. Simply be aware.
Long weekends mean cleaning house for many pounds.
Not so much so they don't have to check on the animals but, because so many more are left at the drop boxes over a holiday...
Face it those who are ready to dump their pets are cowards... they love to do it in the cloak of darkness,
or at least when 'no one is looking,
If you have room to spare, please consider a shelter animal today,
many will die tomorrow and Friday in preparation for the long weekend
"If you judge people, you have no time to love them." ~Mother Theresa
"Man is the only creature that refuses to be what he is."~Albert Camus
"Love is everything it's cracked up to be.
That's why people are so cynical about it.
It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for.
And the trouble is, if you don't risk everything, you risk even more."
~Erica Jong
Communication involves more than just "saying something".
Its real essence lies in "being heard".~Susan J. Kline
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that don't work."
~Thomas Edison
"Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others,
or strikes out against injustice,he sends forth a tiny rippleof hope,
and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those
ripples build a current
that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance...
Few are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows,
the censure of their colleages, the wrath of their society.
Moral courage is a more rare commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence.
Yet it is the one essential, vital quality for those who seek change in a world that yields
most painfully to change."~RFK
"If not now, when?"~The Talmud
Life is a Journey - I want no regrets - therefore,I can only hope that my opinion when stated will be as a rock to a pond.
That the ripples sent forth, become the seeds for others to stand up and speak.
To act - love - laugh.
Together then perhaps we can plant the seeds of a better world.

WORDS OF WISDOM
Written by Oriah Mountain Dreamer, Indian Elder - May 1994
The Invitation
"It doesn't interstme what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for,
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.
It doesn't interst me how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love,
for your dreams,
for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon.
I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow,
if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shriveled
and closed from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own,
without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own,
if you can dance with wildness and
let ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and
toes without cautioning us to be careful,
be realistic, or to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true.
I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true yourself,
if you can bear the accusations of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
I want to know if you can see beauty
even if it's not pretty every day,
and if you can wellspring your life from a sacred presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine,
and still stand on the ledge of the lake and
shout to the silver of the full moon,
"Yes!"
It doesn't interest me to know where you live or
how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief
and despair. weary and bruised to the bone,
and do what needs to be done for the children of the world.
It doesn't interest me who you are, how you came to be here.
I want to know if you can stand in the center of the fire with me
and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you
from inside when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself, and
if you truly like the company you keep in the empy moments."
(This is the man I seek - one that If I asked the above could answer honestly - lovingly - yes.... One who loves from his heart and soul - not with hopes of material gain... a mate of the sprit and wings lifted in the winds of Mother Nature.)
(I have had this and the above in my planner for over 10 yrs --
I received it a few months after first going on aol, (unfortunately greenseas@aol.com is no longer me there - after over 12 yrs... the account died when I got ill and life changed in 08.)

I would also end the needless slaughter of defenseless animals - restore lands that they could live on. End the killing of sea creatures. I would also address the issues of Women in Third World Countries. I would mandate the instruction so that all people could read and write. Protect the all creatures - human - animals from mankinds cruelty.
