In Memeory of Michael

I am the very proud mother of Army SSG. Michael Anthony Dickinson II. My wonderful son was killed in action by a sniper in Ramadi, Iraq on 7/17/06.This young man who was only 26 years old had been in the service of his Country since he was 17 and joined the Army in the delayed entry program. Michael left his home town of Battle Creek, Mich one week after graduating from Harper Creek High School. Ever since he was a little boy , listening to his Grandfather's war stories, he wanted to join the Army.Michael served his Country with Honor and Pride and earned the Respect and Loyality of both his leaders and the men he led.

About Me	I am the proud mother of SSG. Michael A. Dickinson who was killed in action by a sniper in Ramadi, Iraq, 7/17/06. My goal is to raise money for the Battle Creek Foundation who administers a fund in his name. This fund is used to send local at-risk children aged 12-18 to various summer camps. My son selflessly gave his life for what he believed in and I feel it is my duty to keep his memory alive and continue to do good deeds in his name.

What Gives Me Hope	My Grandchildren.The fact that Michael's fund will go on after I am gone.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by	Restructure just about everything. Try to make things fairer for all Americans.
What/who changed my life and why	The early death of my beloved son who was only 26. He was my only son by blood and my baby, the last child I brought into this world. Michael also gave me my adopted son who he had chosen for his brother. These 2 were as close as any 2 brothers could be and remained that way. I am thankful this second son was added to our family as I feel he made our family complete.
