What goes around comes around. Love your neighbors whether down the street, across the street, in another State or in another Country.

What Gives Me Hope

Prayer gives me hope. Care2 gives me hope. Loving people gives me hope my family especially give me hope.

If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by

I would make sure that everyone in this world had a roof over their head, a warm bed to sleep in, a job that would give them the opportunity to work and be proud. I would do something that would make our planet safer and assure that we could give these things to future generations to come. I would spend money on social programs and stop wars. I would attempt in every way possible to assure an education for all of our children. I would increase teachers, policemen, firemen and nurses salaries. I would put a stop to the millions we pay movie stars, entertainers and especially atheletes. These people make way to much money. When you live in a country that puts more emphasis and spends more money on entertainment than teachers, policemen and firemen it makes me wonder what are we thinking or are we even thinking. I know that we live in a democracy that gives everyone the right to make money. But, do we need to pay millions of dollars for entertainment? I think not!!. That is just a beginning to what I would do. If that makes me a bleeding heart then so be it.

What/who changed my life and why

My would have to say a person whose name I will not mention but he (CB) made me see the world in a different way. The events that changed my life were the social changes in the sixties and the values of my peer group back then. My mother gave me strenth and courage. She gave me a love for reading (by reading the classics to me). She gave me a love of art and music. My children have had a huge impact on my latter life especially the son I lost. He was one of the most giving, caring people I have ever known. I always called him my "little hippie" and he had a beautiful "old" soul. You could see the wisdom of the past in his eyes.
