(written after she found out she was dying from cancer).

I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.

I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.

I would have talked less and listened more.

I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded.

I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.

I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.

I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband.

I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.

I would have sat on the lawn with my grass stains.

I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life.

I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.

Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle..

When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, 'Later... Now go get washed up for dinner.'

There would have been more 'I love you's' More 'I'm sorry's.'

But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute.look at it and really see it . live it and never give it back. STOP SWEATING THE SMALL STUFF!

Don't worry about who doesn't like you, who has more, or who's doing what

Instead, let's cherish the relationships we have with those who do love us...

"I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority."

- E. B. White, American author.

While you SCREAM at your woman, there's a man wishing he could talk softly to her ear. While you HUMILIATE, OFFEND & INSULT her, there's a man flirting with her and reminding her how wonderful she is. While you HURT your woman, there's a man wishing he could make love to her. While you make your women CRY there's a man
stealing smiles from her. Post this on your wall if you're against
Domestic Violence.

Folks - I have just cleared out all of the 'friends' whom I can't remember, who have changed their avatars and/or names and I no longer know who they are, or those with whom I have not had any communication in quite a while.  If I have offended anyone, I am sorry.  Please send me an intro and remind me of who you are....

If you aren't part of the solution, you are part
of the problem.

If we don’t believe in freedom of expression for
people we despise, we don’t believe in it at all.
-Noam Chomsky

....the Four Horsemen of all prejudice: prejudgment, stereotype, double standard, scapegoat. These symptoms are also the tools of all prejudice, and have some similar consequences. At the minimum, they wipe out rational debate about problems or conflicts, and--with immoral and inhuman effect--they strive to demonize and delegitimate the target, whether ethnic group or nation-state.

- Earl Raab

Take the time to tell those you love that you love them.  Do it often - you never know when they may be taken away.....

Elizabeth Nadler

Those who give up liberty for the sake of security deserve
neither liberty nor security.
   --- Ben Franklin

All great questions must be raised by great voices, and the greatest voice is the voice of the people - speaking out - in prose, or painting or poetry or music; speaking out - in homes and halls, streets and farms, courts and cafes - let that voice speak and the stillness you hear will be the gratitude of mankind.

Robert Kennedy

About Me Please send an Intro before sending a "Friendship Request" unless I already know you. That way, I know at least a little bit about who you are.

Passionate about freedom, human rights, animal rights, stopping/reversing the changes made in this country since the current administration has begun chipping away at our rights, and those of others all over the world, keeping what's left of the wild areas of our planet safe from government or any other human tampering. I could go on and on.........
