What Gives Me Hope That womyn are standing up, taking stands and someday show the world that the ego and greed of patriarchal society does NOT benefit humanity - only their pockets & that of their friends.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by I would have block parties, where every one would wear a name tag. I firmly believe that knowing our neighbours & where their strengths and abilities lies (as well as our own), will bring about the sense of community required for us to not only raise our children TOGETHER, but enable us all to have more time for the most important thing - living life, as opposed to enduring it.
What/who changed my life and why My Mother's passing away in 1997. After ten years, I am finally starting to view her life as it was, as a 26 year old non-English speaking womyn, coming to a strange country...the anguish of not having another German to speak to about becoming pregnant with me, of my father not wanting to be a part of our lives - the list goes on and on, yet she walked tall, even when she didn't feel it.

If I'd have known then, what I know now, I would have taken the time to tell her, to thank her.
