Life is small, care to make it meaningful
Friends - Lovers of planet Earth,
Today it has become imperative for man to coexist with nature. I am sure you too want to make this wonderful world richer and livelier.
Here is my beautiful village called Chittayam. A lovely lake has extended her arms to hug my beautiful village. She smiles back at her with fluttering green palms and a mix of wide range of trees and plants.
But Human misery, poverty and indifference are rendering this nature vulnerable to disregard and eventual destruction.
We have a society which wants to develop human resources by education, promotion of tourism, promotion of local traditional occupations, creation and encouragement of jobs and people contact for cultural exchange. The Society also wishes to undertake environmental studies and conservation activities.

Like everywhere else in the world here too I cannot but express
Human progress should not be at the cost of natural degradation. Prosperity should not be at the cost of deprivation. Comforts and pleasures should not be at the cost of disregard and negligence and power should not be at the expense of human dignity, freedom and well being.
The world needs our sensibility, sensitivity and responsible sensuality for we have been stupid, cruel and multiplying geometrically. The world needs our attention, affection and adoration for it is delicate, endearing and awe-inspiring. The world needs us to be just what we pride in being – us – human beings.
And as we raise a toast to the health of planet earth we know our hands are steeped in blood thick and too much of it for mere crocodile tears how ever big they may be to wash it away. So join in and strengthen the movement that brings lasting joy to earth.
And what joy could match seeing our planet is safe, strong and vibrant with life forms in numbers and glory. For there’s absolute joy in living and letting live. Nothing feels more fulfilling than realizing all is well. No plant or animal species should be extinct or on the brink. If at all it should be our greed that should end.
See the beautiful sunshine, awesome sunset, picturesque meadows, lovely hills and valleys, magnificent waves, serene lakes - what a world we have. It all looks like a sweet merry dream which unfortunately we are hell-bent on shattering.
Do we not even care for our children? Should they be better off or worse. For what wealth is greater than having unpolluted water, land and air, skies and life, if we can leave them with that. So let us get together to put an urgent act of letting lives be and traditional eco friendly livelihoods be.
Together we can do small but no mean things.

I have stopped accepting comments as a token of conservation.
It takes a long time to load a page full of comments with graphics and special effects and electricity in many places is generated in an eco-unfriendly way. Didnt want to contribute to more pollution.
All the comments have been stored in my heart and I value them.
Most important I value you, you are ... and thats all that matters.
