I believe first and foremost that the best way to change the world for the better is to change ourselves for the better, to strive to recognise that we are already beautiful, loving, loved perfect entities as are everyone and everything around us. In the reality of this world however we must attempt to 'do' outside ourselves, to help, to repair, to defend all those things that we know in our gut should be given this assistance.
It is a glorious and fascinating world around us that can be easily adapted to without massive difficulty or alteration yet we do and we have. We must be a little pragmatic in our approach to some of the environmental and other concerns we face if only not to appear overly radical and in dealing with those that care less about the planet that sustains them. Much of what exists cannot be reversed and so we must accept some of this and look to changing what really matters. It is inspiring to see so many people are in support of causes like these - there is hope. One of my favourite sayings is by Virgil "They Can Because They Think They Can"
Ever evolving, striving to become a better me, courageous, strong willed, can be determined, distressed by cruelty, Go to bat for the unfairly treated, sometimes impulsive - opps, 'analysis-paralysis' sufferer and have almost come to terms with my 'chicken drumstick' thighs! :)
One of the first 7 people to skydive onto this planet this millenium! Got the video evidence to prove it!
Before I can be of any use to others I must first be of use to me!
You cannot EXPECT from others better behaviour than you are capable of yourself. Improve yourself then 'expect' by way of your example. It's teh very things that we dislike about ourselves that is usually what annoys us about others. Look to your own imperfections when you notice them in others.
What Gives Me Hope

If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
Rid the world of all weapons, implement a new well funded (with all the money not used for wars and weapons) 'real world' educational system that includes 1 year overseas travel to meet and appreciate people of other cultures.
