All of our pets are strays. I never once set out to get a dog or cat. They “happen” to us.

We live in "the boonies" of rural Oklahoma, on an fenced acre of land, one block west from the center of town, which consists of a general store and a post office… period!

We live Downtown… (tongue in cheek). One block West of us is a trail leading into the woods with a state sign indicating it is "State of Oklahoma Hunting Land".

When city people go looking for a nice place to abandon there unwanted pets, they drive up here. When they see our fences and our dogs, I guess they figure this is a good place.
 
They’re not wrong.

We have four dogs and a cat right now, all but one are "foundlings". We take in strays so that number is changing!
