Baby Bunny Burrow
I wish I had batteries that worked in my camera!

We were out in the backyard raking up the clumps of grass from the insanely tall lawn that took us 2 days to get down and all of a sudden, this little long, furry body comes running out of the ground. Of course, I scream and start running the other direction - thinking I might be bitten by some rabbid, insane animal!

*peek2*Then I thought to myself if this is the darn spawn of the mole that is drilling around our yard I'm putting it into the alley!

So, I gently trapped it under the rake and realized it was a baby bunny!!
*bunny*It was adorable! I picked it up and right when Jason got the nerve to pet it with his finger it jumped, scared me and him both (probably itself) and hopped out of my hand and headed under the deck. I didn't want to leave the rest of them exposed since I raked the top of their burrow off (owls and other night-stalkers) so we spent the last 20 minutes capturing *chase* and hauling all 6 or 7 of the babies and putting them under the deck! I have no idea where momma is - and I feel awful for disturbing her burrow!
*forgiveme* If it weren't for owls, I'd be worried about the mower going over them again!! I can't imagine what the little guys were thinking when the mower went over them the first two times! I would have crapped myself - there wasn't anything but a clump of grass and a light covering of cotton-like material. They did look just old enough to be okay on their own if the momma does abandon them.

Needless to say, I haven't changed any from when I was a kid bringing injured animals home to nurse them back to health (or attempt it).*sos*
I thought about catching them and seeing if anyone wanted a bunny. But, we wouldn't have had anywhere to keep them and wouldn't have had any idea what to give them for food at their age. So, I figured the wild is the best place for them - I just hope that my moving them didn't hurt them any!

*blushdown*

Well, that's my nature story for the night!

Wild Fact About Me I love the ocean and anything to do with it - but I'm still scared to get in!
My Philosophy No regrets - our lives are as they should be - we wouldn't be who we are today if we change anything about ourselves. If you don't like who you are, then change it in it's present state.
What Gives Me Hope From something bad, there is always good. Bad would not exist without good - it's a circle.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by Lower the beauty of packaging - it only creates more waste! You open the box, rip off the plastic and THROW IT AWAY!!! Why waste time, money, energy all while polluting our air for something so insignificant?!
What/who changed my life and why Martin Luther King, Jr. He was an incredible man who stood in the face of defeat and said, "I'll never be defeated!" His words still live on to this day - and will forever be heard.
