What/who changed my life and why The Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill. Amazing. I already was aware of slavery and already identified myself as someone who was not at all racist, but after reading the book I GOT IT even more. I cried so many times. It sickens me to know people were treated like this...and well kinda still are. Also I'd say my Social Work as well as my Social Justice and Peace Studies university courses. For the same sort of reasons. This world is screwed and most people can't even SEE it.
