About Me	Follow along as we study language in the African Grey, why they seem to respond to emotion, musical scores, musical instruments, human speech and human emotion. Cherry is a 4 yr Old African Grey Congo Parrot & has a vocabulary of 100 words. She speaks some German and is learning Japanese. Mainly she speaks ALMONDS which is her favorite thing to eat. She already understands the concept of "same". Yellow Hello Awful, all sound the same. When she realizes a word sounds like another she will say them on her own in succession. Cherry responds to musical scores, various different musical instruments and even knows when to say Ah ha! or Yep! in agreement during a conversations she hears. So follow us on this journey; of the Learning of the African Grey and any research that follows on Speech; Language and the Why's in the World of the African Grey Parrot! Cherry is not "clicker" or Treat trained, to respond. She responds because she appears to want to. She sings because she loves to; and she swings and calls for her Daddy to come home at about 3pm to 5pm every day.
